I wanted to try azelaic acid..and my skin is combination oily & acne prone.
I'm looking for some good formulation to start with:)

Vitamins C is supposed to be applied on a completely dry skin..(not immediately after cleansing)

REASON:
✔Vitamin C requires a low acidic pH of the skin for the optimal efficiency and absorption. 
& 
Using it on damp skin might disturb the acidic pH of the formulation thus affecting the efficacy of the product!

ALCOHOL IN SUNSCREENS☀️ - IS IT REALLY BAD?

There was a lot of buzz going on about the presence of alcohol is some of the cult fave sunscreens..
So I thought of doing some research and jotting down the summary into a post! 

So first thing to start with is:

📌A PRODUCT LABELED AS "ALCOHOL FREE" IS NOT ACTUALLY ALCOHOL FREE!

It can still contain other type of alcohols categorized as "Fatty Alcohols"..which are basically emollients & moisturizing agents which also help in strengthening our skin's lipid barrier and they're not at all drying..So they're good! 
So how is the product alcohol free?
It's labeled as alcohol free as its free of ethyl alcohol! Which is drying & irritating for senstive skin types..

📌ALL ALCOHOLS ARE NOT BAD
As mentioned..alcohols can be categorised into fatty alcohols & the other type is ethyl alcohol (used in denatured form..or denat. alcohol).
So the fatty alcohols are not really the bad ones..its their latter brother thats the villain for senstive skin!

📌AFFECTS OF SKINCARE WITH ALCOHOL IS HIGHLY DEPENDENT ON THE SKIN TYPE & THE CONCENTRATION OF ALCOHOL USED!

So there's nothing like a black area and a white area..you gotta try out the grey area ones aswell but with proper precautions and after a proper patch test..and figure out what suits best for your skin type!

I need some personal experiences to get a more accurate idea about this..🙂
I tried to do some research on this..most of the active ingredients look suitable to be used on active acne depending on the percentage or the concentration obviously..it includes AHAs BHAs Retinoids and Vitamin C ..but in my opinion..its not the same in every case..what do you feel ..are there any active ingredients that shouldn't be used on active acne? Any particular ingredient ..with any particular concentration..and any personal experiences about it?

Opinions on the skincare active ingredients which shouldn't be used on active acne?

I've heard/read many mixed opinions/theories/experiences about this combination..which I felt is a   decent combination of two really potent antioxidants..and if they can be used together..it'll be enough to keep my skin healthy in all the aspects..
I tested it out for almost two weeks and it worked soo well! 
In fact it felt like Niacinamide apart from the benefits which it offers separately ..it enhanced the results i was getting from my Vit C.

Have you tried it..need some opinions or experiences to just figure out how's it for different skin types..

It might not be hydrating enough for the dry skin types!

I have a skin which is oily and acne prone which is why am more inclined towards hydrating and calming skincare. I've been using this calming serum from @beautyofjoseon_official in my general routine along with a few acne treatment products..
Instead of going with an indepth review am dropping a few points which you should know if you're planning on trying out this serum!

☘It is recommended if you're using anti acne skincare or using some acne treatment products(it can be Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic acid or any other ingredient) OR if you're into exfoliation routines( if you use it post exfoliation it gives better results as compared to when it is used individually)

☘Although there are many hydrating and soothing ingredients in this, it isn't enough for dry skin. But if you have Combination to Oily skin type..that's ACNE PRONE, DEHYDRATED or SENSITIVE, you'll enjoy using this one.

☘It's very lightweight and absorbs quickly. Gives a nice glow to the skin(which doesn't last long..but okay🤷‍♀️). It does make the skin look plump and healthy..

☘VERDICT
If you want something more intensely hydrating you can skip this one.

But if you want something that feels lightweight and can be layered and is decently hydrating and soothing then go for it!



It has a sweet floral fragrance which might be bothering for some people. (I don't have any problem with fragrances normally, until and unless it's mild and not overpowering..this one has a fragrance that's somewhat bothering but I manage because I really like the formulation!🤷‍♀️)

Coxir BLACK SNAIL COLLAGEN TONER 🐌

I've been using this toner for around 2 weeks now.

💦This toner is a great hydrating & moisturizing toner if you want something that's decently hydrating but has a very lightweight texture.

💦Tbh I didn't expect much from this toner when I started using it..considering it's light texture. BUT to my surprise, this one actually made the skin look hydrated and supple!

💦On application it doesn't really absorb quickly as I expected, but once it gets absorbed, it gives a glowy finish to the skin. And i love that. For a toner to make the skin look glowy and hydrated, it made me more curious about formulation and I discovered it has a great combination of hydrating & moisturizing ingredients..snail secretion filterate in itself is a super moisturizing ingredient but apart from that it has Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate, Sodium Hyaluronate & Glycerine. It's suitable for all the skin types and can go with all the routines.


📌Might feel a bit heavy for the oilier skin types specially during hot and humid weather.
TIP- You&#39;ll have to make adjustments in the quantity which you use..overall it&#39;s a great mask to pair with your retinol!💯

REVIEW - @glowrecipe AVOCADO MELT SLEEPING MASK 🥑 

This is one such product which started with an average first impression but overtime managed to take a position in the list of products which I really enjoy using.

It&#39;s a super moisturizing and nourishing sleeping mask with antioxidants, skin soothing ingredients and a gentle exfoliating ingredient Gluconolactone (PHA).

🥑MY SKIN TYPE AND HOW I USE IT:
So actually this mask is meant for a skin that&#39;s dehydrated (or needs an extra boost of moisture) &amp; is also  irritated.
And to mention I have a combination oily skin that&#39;s also acne prone..
My skin gets oilier during summers..but then how I started liking this mask?

🥑Actually the main trick behind using this mask or any such masks according to your skin requirements is to adjust with the quantity and the time of the routine in which your incorporate it.
I use it when I am using strong exdoliants..currently and when I was on retinol trust me it was the best thing I could have paired with my retinol..✔

🥑I use it as an overnight mask. I don&#39;t wash it off in 15 to 20 mins..as I already mentioned I adjust the quantity according to my requirements. It gives a really soft and plump skin next morning..specially when incorporated in the routine after some active.

🥑I WILL RECOMMEND IT TO:
✔People who&#39;re using retinol and need that extra boost of moisture and calming ingredients.
✔Using strong exdoliants.
✔People with a dehydrated or irritated skin.

Nothing really as such bad about this one..

Amazing product..begginer friendly..works amazing well for blackheads and enlarged pores..with consistent use improves the overall texture of the skin...
It can be used as a spot treatment aswell ..works for breakouts and acne prone skin..🖤
TIP: Use it on a dry skin instead of a damp skin..for an increased efficiency.

Sadly it has essential oil..didnt bother my skin..but might trouble a super sensitive skin..

Its a decent mask ..with a unique white jelly like texture..it has niacinamide..adenosine &amp; vitamin E. Good ingredients and does make the skin supple and soft..
