What are your personal dietary changes that have helped you improve your skin?

When your skin is unresponsive to the skincare products that you’re using, it could mean that there is an internal factor to your skin condition, where one of those is dependent on your diet and nutrition!

The dietary change that’s helped me the most is reducing my dairy intake. I notice I get more inflamed and break out a little after a day of heavy cheese-eating 😔. Now, I’ll try to cut back, but I still consume dairy in moderation!

Some things that I’ve tried that haven’t worked at all are increasing water intake, reducing sugar and spice, and even taking fish oil and biotin supplements. Just remember that you and your body is different from everyone else’s and what didn’t work for you could work for someone else!

Diet Changes

Hey everyone! I’m looking into buying some Naturium products because they seem really appealing, the packaging looks modern, and the ingredients look well-thought out. Currently, I really only have hyperpigmentation and occasional acne skin goals.

I do know that it was under controversy but after letting the situation simmer for a couple of months, I decided that the benefits outweigh the negatives. Please let me know your favorite products!

Naturium Recommendations

My question is, would you try it and buy it?

I personally find it extremely intriguing to see a serum combine the antioxidant benefits of Vitamin C with sunscreen for maximum UV and free radical damage in the daytime. What I know about this right now is that it’s meant to be used alongside another sunscreen product and not just on its own. It has a formulation of 14% Vitamin C, with 10% being ascorbic acid. 

I’m still unsure whether the UV protection in this is reliable, even using it under another sunscreen, as I learned that UV filters should be applied on as the last step of your skincare routine to avoid it being degraded by other products. This means that the serum’s SPF could be degraded by the moisturizer and even other serums and emulsions you put on top. However, I do have faith that they took that into account when they were struggling to formulate this kind of product for three years. Plus, it’s kind of the same concept with when we put makeup on over our SPF, where we wouldn’t say that foundation would lessen the effectiveness of our sunscreen.

Half of it consists of amazing humectant and emollient ingredients that leave your skin comfortable and plump, while the other half is all plant extracts and essential oils. I honestly don’t see the point of so many different essential oils together and it’s actually kind of funny to see.

💵 𝘈𝘧𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺: 3&#47;5⁣
—&gt; $30 based on their official Amazon store for 65 mL 
—&gt; Personally, I find the price a bit expensive for a moisturizer. I usually buy moisturizers that are 100 mL or over that would be around that price. However, 65 mL does last a long time because the cream is compact in the container, but spreads out as you apply it, meaning you can use a little and it can go a long way.

—&gt; What I don’t really like about this cream is that it leaves an unnecessary dewy finish to the point of it looking very greasy and oily. I imagine it wouldn’t be flattering to oily skin at all.

—&gt; I love using it, because the cream is very creamy and spreads as smooth as butter. Even though it has a variety of essential oils, extracts, and fragrance, it doesn’t smell overwhelmingly strong at all and I like the scent. I only need about half the amount of normal moisturizer. It’s definitely moisturizing and hydrating like the name of the product states.

I feel like its brightening capabilities aren’t up to expectation. I’ve used a few bottles of this and haven’t seen much hyperpigmentation fading away.

The texture of this serum is so watery and light. As the name says, it really makes the skin look glowy and dewy and also hydrates the skin. The Vitamin C + Vitamin E + Ferulic Acid is the holy trinity combo in this to boost efficacy and antioxidant potency. For the amount of Vitamin C in here, I thought it would sting my skin, but it never does.

It does have fragrance and I actually used to not like the smell of this serum until I used it more. Sensitive skin types should be careful.

Amazing medium-weight serum that hydrates the skin and provides antioxidant benefits with green tea extract.

The fragrance is pretty strong with this product. Also, be careful shaking out the product because it comes out abruptly.

Very affordable lightweight emulsion moisturizer that can be perfect for oily-skin types in the summer or layered under a moisturizer for dry-skin types in the winter. Even though this contains alcohol, I think it’s there to help absorbancy and it doesn’t affect the moisturization efficacy. My skin doesn’t feel dried out from this.

—&gt; Unfortunately, I saw little, if any, of the brightening benefits that this product advertises. My dark spots still look dark, and my skin texture hasn’t improved noticeably. This serum has become a normal hydrating and antioxidant serum to me.

—&gt; Its star ingredient is the poncirus trifoliata fruit extract, which is a citrus fruit that can have similar effects to vitamin C. Besides that, it contains supporting brightening ingredients like niacinamide and tranexamic acid, as well as several plant extracts, which could be irritating to sensitive skin.

—&gt; I would say it’s priced similar to other K-beauty serums on the market and its size is a pretty standard size. It can last a month or two with regular use.

—&gt; I really like the texture of this serum! It’s a gel-like texture that absorbs really nicely into skin and it has no scent to me. Sometimes I’ll use an extra pump to feel more hydrated in the morning under my moisturizer products.
