💭My thoughts:
I have mixed feelings about this product.  It’s like an extremely thick, pearlescent formula without any water or hydration ingredients in it.   It does not have any noticeable scent or fragrance.  The concept is great.   It’s a unique suspension of pure Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C in its purest form) in a waterless formula delivered in airtight container to prevent the Ascorbic Acid from oxidizing quickly and losing efficacy.  Per the Wishtrend website, the product is stabilized with the help of a bio-ferment extract which is then suspended in a biolipid base to prevent activation until you need it.  It also contains Ferulic Acid which is also known for reducing and preventing redness and discoloration.
I think the product is great for the right person, especially someone with dry skin.   It comes down to a matter of preference.   For me, I felt this product was very heavy and I worried it would make me break out.   I could only wear this at night because it feels too heavy to apply during the day along with sunscreen and makeup.  It does absorb and makes your skin feel dewy, but it takes a while.   Ideally the product is applied onto damp skin after cleansing.  The pure encapsulated vitamin C can also dissolve in any water-based toner or serum applied beforehand.  Long term use would be needed to notice any significant changes in skin tone.  It contains Ferulic Acid which is another antioxidant that is beneficial for preventing and fading discoloration (dark spots or redness).

All ingredients:
Propanediol, Ascorbic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Pentylene Glycol, Candida Bombicola/Glucose /Methyl Rapeseedate Ferment, Glyceryl Glucoside, AmmoniumAcryloyldimethyltaurate /VP Copolymer, Panthenol, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Sodium Polyacrylate, Polyquaternium-10, Ferulic Acid

  Cons:  They all left me wishing they had more pigment, but that is the nature of lip balm.   I wish I had tried the more pigmented “lip shine” version.    I did not notice any lip plumping effect.

Athé is a Korean premium vegan cosmetic company.  They are also eco-conscious.

Their Authentic Lip Balms come in 3 varieties with varying amounts of pigment, and finish:

Authentic Lip Balm, Authentic Lip Shine, and Airy Lip Balm.

I received 3 balms in total.  Two were the basic Authentic Lip Balm and one was an Airy Lip Balm.  They claim to react to your natural lip temperature creating a unique natural color.  They are all very moisturizing and feel great on the lips.

Authentic Lip Balm – this is a moisturizing balm with a little bit of shine.  It comes in 9 colors.  It contains plant derived squalane (Phytosqualane) derived from sugarcane.

Authentic Airy Lip Balm - This is a sheer color balm.  This is more of a matte/velvet finish, and definitely not as shiny as the regular balm, and is very sheer.

Color 04: “Chilly” (I’ve seen it spelled Chili or Chilli also) – This is a sheer chili-colored red. (like the food 😊, but they said like a flower petal)

The “Authentic Lip Shine Balm” (which I did not try) is more vivid in color and glossy.  I think I may have preferred this version, but that is just my taste.

💭My thoughts:

Pros: My favorite feature of these products is the tube and cap design.  The cap is magnetized and just gives a nice feeling that it will stay closed.  It comes with a ring on one end so it can be easily attached to something for carrying around.   They feel very luxurious as a moisturizing balm, and almost had the texture of a moisturizing lipstick that was very sheer (almost no pigment).  They are not sticky and do not have any noticeable scent or added fragrance.    They have sustainable packaging and are vegan, which is nice to know.

Cons:  They all left me wishing they had more pigment, but that is the nature of lip balm.   I wish I had tried the more pigmented “lip shine” version.    I did not notice any lip plumping effect.

Overall, as a balm, they are a great choice.  They feel luxurious and moisturizing, and you can pick your preference as far as the amount of color pigment and glossiness by selecting the version you like best.

💭My thoughts:

Pros:  If your skin needs hydration, this will do it.  It actually feels like your face has absorbed and is holding a lot of water.

I think the ampoule stands out among other hydrating products due to the Nelumbo Nucifera Callus Culture Extract.    I was impressed how hydrated it made my skin feel for hours. 

I really liked the “Essential” line.  I was so impressed I went out and bought the “Let Me Soothing Creamy Mask” and will probably buy the Full Day Youth Kit, and their sun cream. 

I really like the company’s values: eco-friendly/sustainable packaging, 100% vegan botanicals, cruelty free, does not contain parabens, sulfates, artificial color or fragrance, alcohol, mineral oil, or silicone.



This product is really nice.  No scrubbing.  It’s the only product I have used that actually exfoliates the lips.  Lips are much smoother afterwards and well hydrated.

By the the product was half used it developed mildew and a sour&#47;bad smell.  I had to stop using it.  I contacted the company about a missing order and mentioned the issue but never got around to following up again.   Maybe my medicine cabinet was too warm in the summer. I would be willing to retry it.

Initially i absolutely loved the product.  The scent, texture, price, ingredients or lack thereof (polyethalene).  It did a good job removing makeup.
