I’ve been meaning to switch up my Sebamed gel moisturiser for winters and I read so many good things about the Centella Soothing Cream from One Thing that I just HAD to get it 🍃🌿 This is my very first product from this brand and I’m super excited to add it to my routine. 😁

One Thing Centella Soothing Cream 🌿🤍 | K-beauty Recs?

I’ve been using Klairs Supple Preparation Toner for the longest time and I finally used it all up last night. Loved it. Would def repurchase. But don’t want to. Atleast not right now. Why? Because I love to experiment with my tonersss! 💃 

So now, I need YOUR help in choosing my next toner. Tbh I’m intrigued by the toners from I’m From, Celimax, Rovectin, and other K-beauty brands out there. Personally, I love hydrating and moisturising toners. Something that helps with barrier repair would be great too. 

But the question is — which one should I go for & why? Do you have some other recommendations?      Or do you think I should stick to Klairs? I’m confused. HELP!

Winters are just around the corner and lately I’ve been using Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask in the variant Berry at night and so far, it’s been working well for my chapped lips.

However, I feel like it is too thick for me to apply during the day too. 🙈

I really need a lip mask or balm for daytime use to keep my lips hydrated since it’s getting pretty chilly and dry where I live.

Can y’all help me with some good recommendations please?

I don’t want to use Vaseline petroleum jelly so that’s a no-no. Also, if you could suggest me something with minimal/no tint, that’ll be superr! 🤎

I didn’t want to gate-keep anymore so after two months of testing Isntree’s Onion Newpair gel cream out, here’s my full review ⬇️

💜 Good For

All skin types, but perfect for combination to oily, acne prone skin types that like moisturisers with gel-like consistency. Absolutely fab for someone with a damaged skin barrier or dehydrated/irritated/sensitised skin

💜 Texture

This gel cream has one of the most beautiful lightweight textures I’ve ever come across (comparable to Youth To The People’s Superfood Air-whip moisture cream which I once described as “your skin being hugged by fluffy clouds”). It absorbs really well into the skin, deeply nourishes, and leaves behind a healthy glow.

💜 Why I love it

I remember when my skin barrier was wrecked between 10th to 25th June ‘22 and I decided to give this moisturiser a go. Used it during my PM routine and OMG — it worked so beautifully to strengthen my skin barrier! I was pretty apprehensive about the word ‘onion’ in this range but there’s absolutely ZERO funky onion smell! It helps with hydration, acne healing, brightening, and also has antioxidants — an all rounder that has found a permanent place in my skincare stash (plus, you only need a little for your whole face so it lasts foreverrr) 😫 

💜 Key ingredients

71.9% Onion bulb extract to protect the skin barrier and soothe irritation; Allantoin, Panthenol, Hyaluronic acid, & Houttuynia Cordata Extract help to moisturise, hydrate, and calm the skin; Niacinamide & tranexamic acid to take care of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation/scarring.

Nothing bad about this toner! I love it with my whole heart 💘

🤎 What exactly does the Klairs toner do?

Like all toners, it preps the skin to drink up your post-cleansing moisturiser and any other skin treatments that you may apply after it. I’d say it’s somewhat of a toner that acts like a serum (basically a 2 in 1 thing) mainly because of its consistency & the hydration boost that it provides.

Talking about ingredients, it contains 💦 hyaluronic acid, ☁️Beta Glucan, 🍀centella asiatica extract, 🪵licorice root extract along with Phyto-Oligo to help moisturize the skin, & wheat amino acids to help reduce inflammation in the skin. 🙌🏻

🤎 How to use it?

Like any toner, tap it in right after cleansing your skin, AM and/or PM (I’d suggest applying it on slightly damp skin for the hyaluronic acid to work its magic). You can also layer it multiple times on extra dry patches.

🤎 Who all can use it?

The consistency is runny & can be used by anyone looking to add a lil 💦hydration💦at the toner step itself. Can be used on all skin types but will benefit people with sensitive & dry/combination skin the most. Also, it doesn't clog pores. I have super sensitive skin and anything can break me out or clog my pores but this toner worked beautifully with my sensitive & acne-prone skin.

🤎 So, is it worth the hype (read: should you buy it)?

Yes and no! It’s a really nice product to have in case you don’t already have a toner or a hydrating product in your routine. But if you already use say, snail mucin 🐌 & a hyaluronic acid serum, then no point in spending more money on a hydrating toner. 😅 Btw, Klairs also has an unscented version of this toner. So if you think you’d prefer that one, then go for it instead!

Nothing at all! 😍 It’s a really nice, creamy and smooth body butter that keeps your skin feeling nourished for hours after application.

OKAY SO I AM BUMMED that I can’t eat this but how exciting is it to smell it?!! 🤤🤤😍

I really like a sugary sweet smelling body care product — give me anything that smells like vanilla, cocoa, cookies, strawberries, heck even marshmallows and I will love it! ❤️‍🔥 Safe to say that I was super STOKED to receive this creamy body butter that’s literally packed with cocoa butter left, right and centre 🍫🧈

It’s rich in Caffeine, Caramel, and Argan Oil too (how cool is that?!) —

☕️Caffeine tones the skin,
🍮Caramel improves skin texture and makes it soft & supple,
🌰Argan Oil hydrates and adds a healthy glow to the skin. 

The Choco Body Butter has a super delishhh aroma of pure chocolate with a hint of oh so sweet caramel — mann it’s a treat for my senses! 🤤 I wish I could pull you through the screen rn (in a non-creepy way lmao) just so you could catch a whiff of this buttery goodness 🥰

🌋 However, I’m ever so slightly disappointed as it did nothing for my active acne or blackheads — not sure if that’s the case for others as well (if you’ve used this clay mask before, did it work for you in this regard?🤔).

👉🏼 Acc to skincare experts, clay masks can work like a magnet to detoxify the face, get rid of gunk settled in pores and purify the skin. They typically reveal a more even, smooth, and mattified complexion, especially if you have an oily skin type.

👉🏼 Innisfree’s Super Volcanic Pore Care Mask_2x is a powerful clay mask made from Jeju Volcanic Ash and also contains AHAs. It claims to minimise the look of pores & keep them clear, absorb excess oil, cool, even skin tone, and gently exfoliate. 

🤎 𝐌𝐲 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞:

🌋 Each time I use the mask, my skin looks cleaner and smoother than usual post rinse-off. It def gets rid of the excess sebum, dirt and greasiness after a long day out in the dust and pollution. ⭐️

‼️ Btw, important note: Many might be quick to throw away the plastic lid but I find that it keeps the product from hardening (a complaint I read of a lot) over time. My pore clay mask is still very creamy and easy to spread even though I’ve had it since last year. So, don’t throw away that plastic lid inside the container if you buy this mask! 🙌🏼

🍵 Absolutely nothing bad about yhis toner. I really like it, especially for summers ☀️ 

🍵First impressions:

Right off the bat, I was surprised on Day 1 of using this toner. Why’s that, you ask? Well, unlike your usual k-beauty toners, this one did not feel as hydrating to me 😵

Now, hol’ up! 🛑✋🏻 Hear me out before you jump to any conclusions — this toner isn’t MEANT to be very hydrating in the first place! 😅 Its main function is controlling sebum, relieving stressed-out skin, and making it feel healthier and more energised (which it totally does 🎯)

🍵Texture + scent:

Lightweight and has a watery consistency. It has an orangish brown hue, the real colour of green tea extract which differentiates this from other green tea products that have a greenish tint. The scent is of strong matcha which I love. 🤤

🍵Key ingredients:

The toner contains 80% green tea leaf extract, along with skin-loving goodies like willow bark extract, ginkgo biloba, cica, hyaluronic acid, evening primrose extract, allantoin, and beta-glucan among others. Oh and how can I forget Anti Sebum P(HD), a patented ingredient that takes care of excess sebum and soothes the skin, making it feel nice and soft!

🍵How and when to use?

The brand mentions swiping it on your face with a cotton pad after cleansing. But I like to take some in my palm and gently pat-pat it onto my face for full absorption. Best time to use is in your AM ⛅️ routine.

🍵 Finally, is it worth your 💰?

Isntree’s green tea fresh toner retails for Rs. 1,150 but you can usually find it on discount (I got it at 20% off). It’s definitely worth the price as you get very high quality green tree extract along with other amazing ingredients all packed into a 200ml toner. 10/10 recommend for combi to oily skin types ⭐️
