I’ve heard Granactive Retinoid is less irritating than a regular retinol. A few studies have shown it’s as effective as well? Anybody tried it? How’s it going for you? I’ve been using The Ordinary one. The results are taking time, but I do see minor improvement in my PIH.

Thoughts on Granactive Retinoid?

Bit too light-weight. Not enough emollients and occlusives to seal in the hydration. Dried me out and then mt skin produced more oil to iver-compensate. Would revommend followinf this up with a face oil for best resuts.

Super light-weight. Great texture. Refreshing after-feel. Full of humectants. The skin drinks this up pretty-quick.

Slightly tacky after-feel. For me personally, this felt light just by itself. I like to use this at night and follow it up with a face oil to seal off the moisture.

This one is at the sweet spot of being slighly  heavier than a gel, yet much lighter than a cream. Dissappears into the skin and it feels like you’re wearing nothing at all. 

Has superstar ingredients like Glycerin and Niacinamide.

Has fragrance so can irritate those who ate allergic to grahtabce ingredients. Didn’t bother me personally, quite liked the fragrance.

This product was the first face oil I tried. Never broke out my pily, sensitive skin. Gets absorbed super-duper quick. A little goes a long way. It actually even helped to slightly fade my scars. It’s become a staple in my PM routine.
