Hi friends✨🤍 I am almost 4 months post accutane. I have this tiny bumps around my mouth. It’s not those painful pimples but I’m unsure what it is. I use a PHA serum 2/week and on different days I use the Cerave retinol serums 2/week. Is the Cerave retinol too harsh to use near the mouth area, cos I do try to avoid the mouth area but I don’t use balms/ vaseline to protect the mouth area.

Currently I use the Good Molecules Niacinamide Toner & Cosrx Snail Mucin and Isntree Sunscreen for AM routine. I also use Cosrx Hydrium toner, Vichy HA serum and Ordinary HA Moisturiser at PM. What are good brightening serums I could add to my PM routine? I have some minor old acne scars post accutane. Thank you all🕊

The product did have some strong citrus fragrance.  

This mask is so beautiful, like the texture was jelly like & it had little beads as well. I used this mask on weekends & damn my skin was way less dull wew. It gives a brighter and even skin tone :)


There is nothing bad about this product. 

This sunscreen was so moisturising & never caused a white cast at all. White cast is an issue I regularly face with many sunscreens so this was a clear winner. Since I have an oilier skin type, I didn’t use a moisturiser in the AM cos personally this sunscreen acted as a dual function (i.e. sunscreen + moisturiser)✨ This sunscreen also didn’t sting my eye area at all & I have the most sensitive eyes🥲 Honestly, at it’s price point this is a 100% WORTH IT💙 It also has great sun protection at SPF 50+. I did realise that it gives a slight greasy finish for my oily skin type but I enjoyed how hydrating it was for my skin. Generally, I use a light water based toner & sunscreen for my morning routine. I tried using the cosrx snail mucin & this sunscreen but it left a tacky finish so I would recommend water based essences/toners/serums & this sunscreen for AM routine. I was also able to pat my innisfree no sebum powder on top of the sunscreen if I do need to leave the house so that it gives a matte finished look🧚🏽 SO I would a 100% recommend this sunscreen & I have already repurchased it a couple of times hehe🤩

🐌 Experience: I have used this essence since I have gotten off Accutane. Initially I was rather apprehensive cos the texture is rather slimy & I was worried that it would cause breakouts on my skin cos snail filtrate is an ingredient I have never incorporated before. BUT this is definitely an essence everyone NEEDS to strengthen their skin barrier. My skin was very fragile post Accutane, but this essence left my skin supple, hydrated & smooth.

For more resilient skin type folks, these toner pads may be too mild for exfoliation purposes.

 I personally was pleased with these toner pads as it is perfect for starters to exfoliation. I really liked that there were different types like water soluble and oil soluble exfoliants (AHA, BHA & PHA) to tackle various skin concerns. These pads helped with some congestion on my cheeks & blackheads on my nose but it takes some time to notice results from its use. I did use these toner pads 1/2 times a week depending on how my skin felt. My brother who loves stridex & has some mild fungal acne on his forehead, enjoyed the use of these wipes cos it’s rather similar to stridex except that these toner pads have no fragrance which is perfect for sensitive skin type. I highly recommend these to folks like me who have sensitive skin or are new to chemical exfoliation🕊🤍

I feel this cream’s texture is too thick & is hard to be absorbed into my skin. There are many essential oils in this cream so folks who are sensitive gotta be careful y’all.
