This serum is perfect so far. It has the perfect texture consistency that is vicious and thick and silky smooth. It absorbs into the skin quickly without any sticky feeling and it feels lightweight on the skin. A quarter amount is perfect for my whole face. It’s super hydrating and somewhat moisturizing in a way. The immediate benefits that I have experience are super hydrated plumped up glowing skin. It hasn’t given me any skin irritations. In fact, I think it’s great at soothing my skin and calming any irritations down. This serum doesn’t pill with other skincare either and is perfect for layering with other serums/toners. I think all skin types can benefit from this hydrating nourishing serum.

✨SOOTHING AND BRIGHTENING SERUM✨ This serum worked well on my skin and gave me great results. Here's how it fared during my one-week trial run of using it: NIGHT 1: I think I should say this ahead, my dermatologist put me on Accutane and so my skin is dry and easily irritated. My normally oily skin is dry and irritated in my undereye area and it hurts even if I wasn't touching it. That's why I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't even hurt when I put the L'essential Double Serum on it. The next morning, I woke up to a bright and less irritated skin, which I really loved. NIGHT 2: I put this serum on and used the L'essential Triple Cream on top of it. Sadly, it looks like my skin doesn't love the moisturizer as much. A part of my cheek was itchy and it turned a little red when I scratched it gently. The little patch of red went away after half an hour. I swore to never use them together again. NIGHT 3: I put this serum on before putting my prescription benzoyl peroxide. I should remind you that I am using prescription oral and topical medicines for my mild acne and hyperpigmentation. The morning that I woke up, there was no irritation and it felt like my benzoyl peroxide was set nicely on my skin. NIGHT 4: I use this serum before putting on my "The Inkey List Vitamin B, C, and E Moisturizer" which has a pretty thick consistency. I woke up to a bright and well-hydrated skin the next morning. NIGHT 5: I was loving this serum so much that I bought it as a gift to a close friend of mine a.k.a "Miss Anne of Green Gables". (I will post the screenshot of the e-receipt.) I put this on before the prescription benzoyl peroxide and I don't know if it was just me but it felt like the benzoyl peroxide was absorbed faster into my skin. DAY & NIGHT 6: I included this in my morning skincare routine. Using this in the morning before putting on my "CosRX AC Collection Lightweight Moisturizer" and sunscreen gives me a brighter skin (or is it just me? 😅). Anyway, I'll post a picture so you be the judge! NIGHT 7: This is the last night of the test run. I intentionally didn't use this in the morning in order for me to see how my skin looks like without it. I think my skin is still glowy but it doesn't look as bright compared to when I'm wearing it. My verdict? This serum is great for daytime and night time skincare routines. Will I repurchase? Absolutely!

It didn't sting or irritate, also it wasn't sticky. To talk about hydration, it wasn't as hydrating as I expected, it was just mild hydrating. I suggest not using this cream for hydrating purposes. I didn't see much improvement on my skin too. I really liked the capsule in serum concept, very unique, and wasn't harsh. However, this this serum didn't do much to me. I probably need to use it for a longer time. I'll definitely update if there's changes. I'm hoping to see a brightening effect later in the future because of the ingredient licorice.

I like the slippery feel of this serum, and how it has moisturising / hydrating, anti-aging and soothing ingredients. That's a lot of benefits in one serum. Love that it is scentless too. It spreads nicely on my skin and doesn't take long to permeate, leaving my skin looking dewy and not feeling sticky to the touch. I believe I haven't used this long enough to say if it is effective, and I don't have a smart facial device to test my skin age.
