I received this product for free from Picky and Numbuzin in exchange for my honest review. This is a gentle serum that’s meant to help reduce hyperpigmentation and so far it’s doing exactly that for me. I’ve noticed definite improvement in the appearance of post acne dark marks just in the few weeks that I’ve been using it. It contains niacinamide, tranexamic acid, vitamin c, and alpha arbutin to target hyperpigmentation. Also contains one of my favorite antioxidants that doesn’t get enough credit, glutathione, and CoQ10. But along with all those actives, it also contains ceramides, allantoin, glycerin, and beta glucan to soothe and hydrate skin. So this serum is a powerhouse 3-in-1 product that targets hyperpigmentation, soothes and hydrates skin, and provides antioxidant benefits. I’ve been using it in my morning routine as that is usually when I prefer to use my antioxidants and hyperpigmentation treating products. It layers well with all other products I’ve tried it with, absorbs quickly with no tackiness left behind, and has no fragrance. Has also not caused my sensitive skin any kind of irritation. This is a definite repurchase for me in the future, I’m really loving this serum. Looking forward to trying more from Numbuzin!

I received this product for free from Picky and Numbuzin in exchange for my honest review. Really enjoying this sunscreen! It’s a very light and watery chemical sunscreen that absorbs quickly and leaves a nice natural finish behind. Does not get oily throughout the day at all. Wears really well under makeup and does not cause it to break down, actually acts as a nice primer for makeup. No fragrance, no eye sting, no irritation. It also has a bit of green tint to it, which I always like for helping to reduce the appearance of redness on my face. I find this great for sensitive skin as it has great soothing ingredients such as licorice root, cica, and heartleaf. It also contains other plant extracts, as well as glycerin and several forms of hyaluronic acid. So I also find it decently moisturizing for the day time and usually do not layer an additional moisturizer underneath it. A great sunscreen overall. This would absolutely be a repurchase for me in the future. Looking forward to trying more from Numbuzin!

I received this product for free from Picky and I'm From in exchange for my honest review. If you love licorice in your skincare like I do, then you’ll also love this cream. The first ingredient is licorice root extract, so you know there is a decent amount of it in this cream. Licorice is great for calming skin and helping with dark spots and hyperpigmentation. I love it for calming my rosacea and for helping to fade the dark spots left behind from cystic acne. This cream also contains glycerin, ceramides, vitamin E, and other plant extracts. Although it’s a gel like texture I find this very moisturizing and nourishing for skin. It contains a few forms of silicone so it feels occlusive. Also something to note if your skin doesn’t do well with silicones. I’ve been using it in the evenings to lock in all the moisture from my night routine and I always wake up in the morning with calm and supple skin. I also love that this is fragrance free, I can’t detect any scent at all.

I received the Coxir Intensive EGF Peptide Emulsion for free from Picky and Coxir in exchange for my honest review. This emulsion contains EGF, a powerhouse ingredient that can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, stimulate collagen, even skin tone, and improve hydration. It also contains niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, peptides, allantoin, fruit extracts, and collagen. This emulsion is light and thin, something between a thick serum and a gel cream. It’s silky and absorbs into skin well. It’s hydrating and leaves skin bouncy and feeling nourished. It does contain fragrance, which gives it a slight perfume scent when you first apply it, but luckily it disappears quickly and doesn’t linger. I do wish it was fragrance free, but I can deal with the scent at application because I do really love this emulsion. Since the weather is warming up I am using this as a moisturizer in my morning routine and it has worked very well for that. It plays well with all other skincare products I’ve used it with and is great under sunscreen and makeup as well. Really enjoying this emulsion and with its generous size, it should last through the entire summer and be a great moisturizer. The benefits of EGF aren’t seen overnight, but I hope to see some skin improvements with more time.

I received this product for free from Picky and Coxir in exchange for my honest review. This cream mask pack contains EGF, a powerhouse ingredient that can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, stimulate collagen, improve hydration, reduce inflammation, and help with skin healing. I have been using the emulsion from the EGF line for about 4 months (it’s almost gone) and now the cream and cream mask pack, and I have seen definite improvements in my skin due to the EGF. It seems to help keep my rosacea in check, as well as heal acne faster with less post acne dark marks. It also seems to be helping heal previous acne dark marks. I’ve basically come to the conclusion that EGF is an ingredient I always want in my skincare routines. I’m loving it! Now this cream mask pack is my favorite of all of the Coxir EGF products I have tried. It feels thick, rich, nourishing, and luxurious. Dry skin will absolutely love this one. It’s incredibly moisturizing and occlusive for overnight, it really locks in all the goodness of my evening routine and my skin looks amazing when I wake up in the morning. Besides EGF, this mask pack contains glycerin, hyaluronic acid, squalane, niacinamide, shea, ginseng, lots of fruit extracts, collagen, propolis, allantoin, and peptides. It does also contain dimethicone, which gives it the silky and occlusive feeling. It doesn’t contain any added fragrance, but it does have a slight fruity scent upon application, which I’m assuming is from all of the fruit extracts it contains. The scent is very mild and pleasant and doesn’t linger on skin. This cream mask pack layered well with all other skincare I used it with, no pilling or separating. Very enjoyable to use and I will truly be sad when it’s gone. It will be a definite repurchase for me!

I received this product for free from Picky and Benton in exchange for my honest review. I loooove these pads! They contain soothing and hydrating ingredients like guava leaf extract, glycerin, green tea extract, allantoin, and azulene. You can use these 2 ways: apply them to skin and leave them for 5-10 minutes, similar to a sheet mask; or you can use them as a toner pad to simply apply the toner to your face. Or you can do both like I do! I apply them to skin and leave them on for about 5 minutes, then use them as toner pads to apply the toner solution to my entire face/neck/chest area. The pads are absolutely soaked with the toner solution, which helps them stay on your face well. They are hydrating, cooling, and soothing. They immediately bring the redness in my cheeks down and make my skin feel cool. The toner absorbs into skin easily and leaves no tackiness behind. There’s no scent that I can detect, which I always appreciate. They also come with tweezers to help you cleanly and easily remove pads from the jar, and the tweezers snap into the lid for easy storage. Love the little details like that!

Seca/Sensible

The Benton Honest Eyelash Serum was the Picky Pick for October and I was lucky enough to receive this product for free from Picky and Benton in exchange for my honest review. This serum is advertised as promoting natural eyelash growth with ingredients such as peptides, amino acids, and hyaluronic acid. It is meant to strengthen and lengthen lashes. This is a clear, fragrance free, light serum that swipes onto eyelashes easily with the dual applicator. I’ve used several eyelash serums before and this is by far my favorite applicator. It has a curved spoolie with a soft ball tip. You can apply to lashes directly with the spoolie and/or apply to the lash line with the ball tip. This is a non-oily formula that dries fairly quickly. It does not sting or blur your eyes like I have experienced with other serums. I did not experience any irritation or adverse effects. Please note that I have only been using this product twice daily for 2 weeks. Because of the way that eyelash serums work, by promoting growth within a certain phase of the eyelash growth cycle, this is a product that will take some time to see any significant results. So as expected, I can’t yet report any significant results, but I will continue to use it for optimal results. Once I finish the entire tube, I plan to update this review with final results.

I received this product for free from Picky and Pure'am in exchange for my honest review. First of all, I just want to acknowledge the adorable way that Pure’Am packaged up these cleansers for the Picky winners. They were sent with fluffy spa headbands and a handwritten note. I love that they took the extra time to do this for the winners, to me that shows how much they care about their customers. This is a very thick and creamy cleanser and that’s my favorite kind of cleanser to use, so it was love at first use for me. It lathers up well and feels incredibly hydrating while using it. It also gives sort of a cooling effect to skin while using it, I’m assuming because of the rosemary and tea tree oils it contains. It has a pleasant rosemary fragrance that I actually really liked. I’m sensitive to a lot of fragrances (natural and artificial) and it did not bother me at all. It rinses easily and leaves skin feeling clean, smooth, and hydrated. It contains .5% salicylic acid, so it does have an exfoliating and acne fighting property to it. However, I have sensitive skin and mild rosacea and it is still gentle and hydrating enough for me to use daily in my morning routine. I did not experience any redness or irritation with use. It helped to control the oil on my skin throughout the day and even helped to clear up a breakout I had on my chin in a gentle way. I thoroughly enjoy this cleanser and do plan to repurchase it in the future!

I received this product for free from Picky and By Wishtrend in exchange for my honest review. Let me introduce you to one of my new favorite products, the Wishtrend Vitamin A-mazing Bakuchiol Night Cream. This night cream contains both retinal and bakuchiol. I have never tried retinal (only retinol) but it is both more effective than retinol and less irritating, which sounded perfect for my sensitive skin so I was excited to give this a try. I started out slow, but my skin has been loving this and I am able to use it every other night with zero issues. I can even use it in between BHA nights with zero issues, which is something I can’t do with retinol. I do pair it with a ceramide barrier serum with each use, as I do with all retinoid products. I swear by this for reducing irritation. I did experience some purging the first week of use, mostly around my nose and jawline, which is where my skin is always most congested. After that my pores seemed less congested and I had no more issues with purging. The retinal and bakuchiol combo has been amazing for my skin, leaving it smooth and even after each use. I wake up in the morning and love how my skin looks! With consistent use my skin continues to look better and better and I’m really pleased. Don’t let the bright yellow color of this cream intimidate you, it won’t stain your skin or leave it looking yellow at all. The texture is creamy and smooth and soaks into skin very nicely. Does not leave skin feeling greasy or tacky at all. There is also no added fragrance in this, but I would say it has a very slight earthy fragrance just due to the ingredients.

I received this product for free from Picky and By Wishtrend in exchange for my honest review. If you love a good exfoliating cleanser, then this one is for you. If you don’t love exfoliating cleansers, then this one is also for you. Let me explain. This is a powder cleanser that’s completely customizable. You add as little or as much water as you want to create the texture you want to use. I have sensitive skin so I use about a 1:1 ratio of powder to water and dissolve most of the powder before applying to my face. This gives a very light and gentle exfoliating effect. But you can choose to add less water and make it more exfoliating if that’s what your skin likes. This cleanser has never irritated my skin or flared up my rosacea, which most other physical exfoliants do. After use my skin feels incredibly smooth and clean, but not dry or stripped. Ingredients of note are green tea powder, papaya enzymes, baking soda, glycerin, and hyaluronic acid. It contains no added fragrance and only smells naturally of the green tea powder.
