I think it's because of the time difference. Picky is based in South Korea, which is GMT +9. You should adjust the time depending on your country.
It is just my assumption, but you can always contact Picky to inform them.

It’s due to the time difference. It might still be 22 where you live, but it’s already 23 in Korea. I’m always trying to submit a day earlier; otherwise, it says “late.”

Although the time difference may be a factor, I have one showing late despite submitting it 2 weeks before the deadline. Otherwise, I wouldn't be too concerned about it because it hasn't affected my winning streak.
