I think the biggest maskne preventative is wearing a CLEAN mask. Otherwise youโre just holding all of that dirt, oil & bacteria on to your skin for however long you wear your mask (and the mask is already the perfect dark, moist environment for bacteria to flourish in!)

i saw somewhere, a doctor said if you have maskne, do not use salicylic acid but find product with zinc pca instead. i'm not sure the reason behind.

You can use it afterwards. Maybe he said it because it can be irritating when your skin is already compromised?
