yes it is! dehydrated skin would lead to damaged skin barrier which would make your skin produce more oil. Moisturizer are great for sebum regulation. You can use lightweight moisturizer like this one.

there's a very wrong myth saying "oily skin ain't need a moisturizer" every skin type should have moisturizer.Moisturizer is the one who seal our skin from the products we have used before that step and moisturizer also bring hydration and moisturization to our skin away from irritation and dehydration~ Basically the only thing difference between dry and oily skin type in terms of moisturizer is that dry skin need more moisturization than oily peeps and oily peeps is more on lightweight~

All skin types need a moisturizer for hydration and to keep the skin from drying out. If your skin is overly oily that probably because it is trying to compensate for its lack of moisture.

I find that I am a lot less oily if I have a good moisturizer on my face. Its also been important for me to have hydrating products. Oily skin tends to produce more oil if it’s dry and dehydrated as it’s trying to compensate.
