Tbh there's not much of a difference between the two. Marketing has made us believe that ampoules are more concentrated than serums when in fact some serums contain even higher % of actives than certain ampoules. The key for not getting confused is to learn to read the concenctrations/dosages/% of ingredients. Because of this information that ampoules are "more concentrated" than serums, brands have a way to charge ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ for ampoules (marketing).

Iโm also confused by the two and can ampoules be used as toners too ?

I think toner is different to ampoule because toner is for hydrating/refreshing skin so in this case toner needs to be before of a serum/ampoule ๐คโค
