I learned one simple test during my days at med school - when you touch your veins, do they change a colour (the skin changes to white and they are less visible) or do they stay the same? If they change the colour - Vitamin C, arnica or chestnut extract can help reduce them. If not - the best way is laser or electrocoagulation.
