To bake or not to bake!

As a makeup wearer I always look to making my makeup last longer and setting sprays are great at that but baking is ment to make it last longer the only thing it can get go cakey so I was wondering your opinion do you bake, if so do you have tips or favourite brands?

Firmly anti-bake as a dry-skinned girl! I just use the least amount of translucent powder I can get away with, it works fine. Imo it's better to experience some fading of your makeup over looking cakey all day from the excess powder texture.

I have yet to find an ultimate powder but I usually bake with loose powder or just no sebum powder! It honestly does make a difference and really helps make my makeup last longer. I don’t use a setting spray but I think I really should! My makeup on my nose smudges most of the time because I wear glasses even if I do bake, but other than that I feel like it really does make a difference! I recommend the innisfree no sebum powder but it is not that large in volume, I hear a lot of good things about the makeup revolution banana powder and I think I would try that one next time!

try to avoid using powders that have colour/tint because it will make your makeup look more cakey if you use it to bake!!

I don't necessarily bake, but I use powder to set my makeup. I put on my serum 1st, let that soak in. If my skin is extra dry, I'll use a light moisturizer. Then I put on my sunscreen, then primer. I usually only use my primer on my eyelids & nose. Then I do my concealer and/or foundation & then lastly I set everything with powder. I use Oulac for concealer, foundation & powder. It works the best for my skin & I never get cakiness or creasing. I'm 49, too, so I have wrinkles. It's just finding the right products that work for your skin. I have combo skin, but it gets dry during winter, so I gotta do extra moisturizing steps. The Oulac powder is lightweight, matte finish & I've never had it cake up on me. If your powder is getting cakey, it could be from your skincare or concealer/foundation, too. I noticed if my skincare is too thick, it changes the way my makeup looks, so I like to make sure my skincare is absorbed completely before I start applying my makeup. Hope this helps & sorry for the super long response.
