What age do you start your kids with skincare?

Introducing your kids to healthy skincare at a young age will help protect them from developing any skin problems. If they keep their skin clean, it will help them throughout their puberty especially when hormonal acne begins. I have 3 kids and my youngest is now 10. I’ve introduced skincare to all of them using @Cetaphil Using a gentle skin cleanser like Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser with its creamy formula gently removes dirt and impurities. How to Use: Option 1 - apply a moderate amount of cleanser to the skin and massage into skin. Remove excess with a a soft washcloth. Option 2 - Use with water. Apply cleanser to the skin and massage. Rinse with water. Follow with Cetaphil daily facial moisturizer with SPF15. Its lightweight oil-free formula provides hydration and protects the skin from UVA/UVB rays that is known to cause skin cancer. Apply to clean face after cleansing. Ingredients include: ✅Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) ✅Panthenol (Vitamin B5) ✅Glycerin - softens and smooths the skin ‌ Dermatologist tested and recommended Cetaphil is non-irritating and non-comedogenic that can be used for all skin types. It’s oil-free, paraben-free and fragrance-free.

I would start their skincare when their puberty starts. Otherwise, kids have perfect skin; it's the hormones that affect it.

My future kid, whether boy or girl, will start shaving when they want to. Preferably, after their puberty begins but every case is different. I knew a 7 year old girl that her hairy legs looked like they belonged to an adult man. Maybe they won't shave at all. I would like to be understanding, and flexible.

Oh yes I love this brand too. A little bit more on the expensive side but gentle to start too.

Great! The earlier we teach them the better. My 10 yo was the one who asked for it. I guess seeing me, my daughter and my son doing skincare had helped nudge him. ☺️

I started with my son when he was 13. Of course it was not easy convincing a 13 year old boy to wash his face with a cleanser then using a toner and later putting creams. I used to beg :) or he would only follow the regimen whenever there is a breakout! but eventually he got better. However I fail to let him wear sunscreen. We mainly used Obagi products for him.

Advise her to change her underwear every time she gets sweaty (or if she doesn't, at least every other day), and wash her bits before she put on a new one. She can use a vulva (liquid) soap or just water. Remind her also to use the toilet after sex (urinate). Do visit the doctor though. Most probably they will give her a Canesten cream for a few days.
