Lately I started to do a full face of makeup again just to boost my self confidence a bit, makeup is something that’s fun for me and I really enjoy it! but… how does one reapply sunscreen throughout the day?! tips on reapplication over foundation and what sunscreen you use? I used the Skin1004 hyalu-cica water fit spf today as a reapplication and patted it on gently with a makeup sponge. Maybe a minute later I noticed my foundation separating on my chin 🥲. My Dermatologist says I definitely should reapply since the UV index rating is extremely high here in Hawaii, and she has me on prescription Tretinoin so she said it would be best if I could reapply throughout the day. On most days I just use sunscreen and go out with no makeup, but sometimes a I feel like dressing up a bit! :) 
(also no this isn’t for primary usage, it’s just for reapplication purposes! I currently use the LRP UVmune 400 spf 50 underneath my makeup! :)) 

Any tips and sunscreen recs that you love over makeup is appreciated!! 🙇‍♀️🙏

How the HECK! does one reapply sunscreen over a full face of makeup?! (foundation on skin)

For me I’m honestly tied between my LRP UVmune 400 spf 50, or retinoids (tretinoin) 🫠

If you could only live with one skincare product what would it be?

Nothing so far, as I’ve been using this sunscreen since September of last year! Seems to be perfectly fine on my skin even in the hotter months, it doesn’t give you a crazy high shine and seems to set into the skin nicely after a couple minutes 🤍

For my dry skin this is perfect! Currently on my second bottle and I like how hydrating but lightweight the consistency is (check out my video to see how it rubs on!). It doesn’t seem to sting or irritate my skin which is a huge plus for me since a lot of sunscreens tend to cause irritation on my skin. I bought this as a 1+1 on stylevana and only costed me $15! Usually it’s so hard finding good sunscreens for a decent price! 🥹

Also no white-cast! 

I had slight irritation and skin peeling when I first started using Tretinoin, but after the first few weeks it went away! 

My current tretinoin routine that I’ve been loving lately:

I got this prescription from my dermatologist to help my hormonal acne around my chin and nose. So far I really love it and it’s helped get rid of acne scars that I’ve had for months.

Calling all Tretinoin (retinol/retinoid users) peeps! I feel like this is an absolute MUST in your routine especially if you use products like retinoids. It’s extremely soothing and hydrating without it feeling too heavy on the skin! I love using this and then layering a nice hydrating serum on top! It helps speed up the process of repairing my skin barrier when I happen to overly irritate my dry/sensitive skin.

Absolutely nothing! I never realized how great slugging is until I tried it on my dry and sensitive skin. Sometimes my skin will react with new products I’ve been testing out but I always go back to this product to help my skin reset and repair! Pair this product with your favorite hydrating products and it becomes a complete power couple!

Comparing this healing ointment to Aquaphors healing ointment, I honestly prefer this one instead. It’s much more suitable for spreading all over the face and doesn’t feel as tacky/thick/sticky compared to Aquaphor! This ointment also doesn’t include lanolin (included in aquaphor) so if you have a sensitivity to that ingredient, fear not! Cerave’s Healing Ointment is lanolin free!! I personally prefer using Cerave on my face but I’ll use Aquaphor on my lips for the thicker hydration!
