What are your favorite alpha/beta hydroxy acids products? Help me find a serum or a cream or a toner that is efficient and non-irritating 🥰

AHA/BHA product recommendations

As someone who is obsessed with having healthy hydrated lips, you’ll for sure notice me constantly applying lip balm and Vaseline throughout the day. The weather here gets cold and dry so it’s a must but I also wear *generous* quantity of Vaseline before going to sleep. I try not to pick at any dead skin that might start peeling off but I can’t help but wonder if there’s an effective way to treat it: I understand dead skin is natural but it’s really been annoying me this past month 😅😭 I’ve seen lip scrubs but never owned any (I frankly did not see the use until now). My question now: what would you recommend? What have you done (if this is an issue you dealt with)? or What would you do? I know some people wouldn’t mind it but the amount of dead skin that has been “falling” off has increased lately… Also, is there a homemade lip scrub recipe you can recommend?

Lip health and scrub

Hi fellow pickies 💕🎀,

I had been using a cerave cleanser and moisturizer for a while but I want to start anew! I’m almost done with the moisturizer bottle but I don’t want to keep using this brand… there are so many Korean brands and viral products so I don’t know which one to pick😞 
I don’t have a sensitive skin type and I don’t think it’s acne prone:) My face is mostly a mixed type (dryer around the edges and forehead but oily-er at the nose and chin) I usually don’t get any pimples unless I change my diet (butter toast lol) or my menstrual cycle starts (usually some small/medium red pimples here and there but they’re gone after like 2 weeks max) 
Having said that, I’m open to all suggestions (although I’m more interested in Asian skincare) but I’m also a college student so my wallet can only go so far:)
I also have a question: is it better to stick to one product line (cleanser, toner & moisturizer from the same brand) or does it really depend on the skin and the ingredients? 

Please help me find a new cleanser and moisturizer, but you can also recommend other products if you want to💗

I have had a continuous issue with split ends: I cut them, some timer later, and boom! They’re back. Not only that but I have so many damaged hair strands, hairs that are just way shorter than the rest of my hair and they clearly stand out (and up) when I let my hair loose. I have curly hair, very thin. I’ve been using different natural oils and I even deep oil my hair from time to time (big quantity of oil, massage, let rest and wash), but I’d like your honest opinions and helpful product recommendations to aid me in my hair care journey:)

Split Ends and Damaged Hair Near the Roots

Hey there✨
I’m a full time student but I also want to protect my face from UV rays… It’s hard to always apply sunscreen in the morning as it’s difficult to juggle between school life and self care so I was wondering if there was any sun stick that could act as my “quick sunscreen” (I believe applying sunscreen takes longer than using a stick). I’m aware sun sticks are usually for reapplication during the day but I’d like you guys’ opinion on this… And even generally speaking, I want to prepare for next summer and have my sun stick brands list already planned out:) I’ve never used sun sticks so I’m open to both recommendations and advice on UV protection routines!

Sun Sticks Recommendations?

nothing bad really… i do admit the price on it is a little on the more expensive side but we have to remember its a concentrated solution and most serums tend to be more expensive anyway. if you use only a few drop everyday, it will last you long enough 

i love the high concentration as it allows me to only use 2-3 drops every night! i believe consistency is the key and having the small bottle with a dropper is perfect. 

the formula is slightly viscous but the product remains extremely lightweight 

after only a week i was able to see my scars fading:)

the salicylic acid is perfect for acne prone skin and oily skin, and i used it on my oily skin parts as i have combination type skin

it has denatured ethanol to ease the absorption so you really need to hydrate well if your skin tends to dry up easily 

 I don’t have anything bad to say about this product

🧊MY EXPERIENCE ♨️
In my experience, the square packaging of this product stands out and is quite practical, especially with its pump design, which makes it easy to use at the sink without any mess. The heating oil technology is indeed fascinating, particularly for skincare enthusiasts who enjoy exploring innovative Korean skincare techniques. I found the warming sensation noticeable as I rubbed it between my hands, and it did seem to melt away sebum and blackheads more efficiently than traditional oils. There's something satisfying about the way the product heats up and works to break down impurities, almost as if it gives the skin a deep clean while offering a spa-like warmth. I appreciated that even though it has this heating effect, my skin never felt irritated or overwhelmed—on the contrary, it left my skin feeling hydrated and soothed. After rinsing it off, my skin felt fresh and comfortable, without the tightness or dryness that some other cleansing oils can cause. If you're someone who deals with excess oil or clogged pores but wants a gentle, effective solution, this product is definitely worth trying. The combination of its innovative texture and calming ingredients makes it a standout in the cleansing oil category.

Love everything about it but after trying the other colors, I wish this one was a little less pigmented. Don’t get me wrong, the color is cute and pretty but I would’ve liked it more to only cover paleness and not actually pinkify my lips. I guess it all comes down to color theory and pigment matching as it depends on your skin tones and lip color.

Texture and formula:
~&gt; Love the creaminess of it! 
~&gt; The lightness to thickness ratio is perfectly balanced: it’s not too light (to the point where it dries off 5 minutes after application) but not too thick (it’s not too greasy) 
~&gt; During a full day outside (11hours) I applied it about 4 times (lightly) and it was more than enough! Once in the morning, once before lunch, twice after lunch. But you can definitely go on about applying it twice a day (I just enjoy using lip balms)

Pigment and glow:
~&gt; This specific color first looked quite natural on me but after some minutes, I noticed it has a pink penchant. I think it’s cute.
~&gt; if you apply lightly, it’ll only look like a light tint but if you do like 3 layers, it will have a gorgeous glow and nice finish. 
~&gt; perfect if your lips tend to look pale

Nothing to complain about just remember that like most lip balms, this one is also creamy and that means if you apply too much pressure it will break (speaking from experience T^T). It’s nothing bad about the product itslef but the appearance of the packaging (it looks like a lipstick) might make you forget it’s a lip balm!

The color is very cute: i feel like it’s one of the most pigmented of the athe lip balms (I tried the 3 from the giveaway) so it’s perfect if you want to add a little color while keeping your lips hydrated. Prevents cracking as it doesn’t leave bad texture after drying. Packaging is very cute and the formula is smooth!

- Works great after cleansing the face: i dislike peeling and exfoliating products that claim to work best on dry skin as it often ends up irritating the skin. Moreover, this one clearly states that your face needs to be clean beforehand which seems very logical to me since you need to first get rid of the surface impurities before actually deep cleaning your face.
- my skin feels so smooth afterwards, and it actually removes dead skin without drying my face out
