The only downside for me is that it's not very strong and while it smoothes out my skin overall, it doesn't seem to work that well against specific wrinkles.

I wanted a retinoid product that is not oily, as I find the other retinoids from The Ordinary in squalane too long to absorb. This emulsion is not oily at all and absorbs very quickly. No irritation at all, which is normal for retinoid (vs retinol)....
Unfortunately only retinoid 2% exist in emulsion, the 5% is in squalane only. I feel that it is not strong enough.

I love this retinoid's formula. I use it for blemishes, dark post and anti-aging treatments twice a week.
It is not stable. It is only good for 3 months and 30ml is too much for that time (twice a week use).

Nice, smooth, lightweight texture. Good for dry skin. Keep it refrigerated! Good, trusted brand. Nice price point. A little goes a long way.
