Better Balance Nutrients Networking Water Cream
☁️ texture: very, very lightweight gel-cream consistency that sinks into the skin really quickly. think lighter than Tatcha’s water cream.
☁️ effectiveness: i think this would be amazing for those with oily skin! it’s a little too lightweight for my dry skin as my skin will completely drink it up in less than an hour and i’ll feel the need to reapply or use something more occlusive on top. i like to use this in the daytime under a moisturising sunscreen to help keep my skincare layers light. however, i definitely need to top it up with a thicker cream at night, otherwise my skin will definitely dry out especially in a room with AC.
i can tell it’s an elegant formula as it’s silicone-free, fragrance-free and non-comedogenic, and formulated with a bunch of amazing ingredients like peptides, ceramides, vitamin E and Hydrogenated Farnesene (the plant-derived form of hemi-squalane). the ingredients list is amazing as it has all the good stuff in high concentrations at the top of the list 🥲👌
☁️ price: S$75 (50ml) on twohalves-skincare.com
☁️ rating: 3/5; it’s a really nice lightweight moisturiser that’s elegantly formulated, but it’s sadly not enough for my dry skin when used on it’s own. i also can’t really justify the extremely high price tag for such a small amount, and i can see myself going through this really quickly! for that reason, i don’t see myself purchasing this myself. (note: a really good dupe is the Cerave PM moisturiser)
too lightweight for dry skin types. also really expensive for a 50ml moisturiser.
