Rare Beauty - skincareinhawaii review for Always an Optimist Pore Diffusing Primer

Just to give a little background, I’m a skincare lover and don’t use any makeup so a good primer to finish off my skincare routine is really nice. This definitely went way above my expectations because I’ve never tried a primer that really worked to finish off my skincare routine. This is totally different from all the other ones that I’ve tried. Not only did this do what it was supposed to do, but it did so in a really beautiful way. ~ Usage: After applying all my skincare layer, I applied this and then finished it off with some powder. ~ Texture: This is a gel primer that smoothes out so nicely and is really such a nice texture. ~ Finish: This has a really nice satin/semi-matte finish. I really appreciate the finish of this and it’s pretty much perfect for my combo skin. This works to mattify some oily areas without drying it out at all. It honestly give that blur effect that I want and looking very natural. ~ Lasting?: This truly is lasting. I live in Hawaii and with my combo skin I’m surprised that it hold up so well and I’ve never had any problem with it pilling or with it looking bad after a full day. I do apply a little bit of powder on top of my t-zone so that I my oily areas stay under control, but honestly I probably don’t need to do that since this works very well. ~ Final Conclusion: This is the best primer that I’ve ever tried before and I would definitely repurchase this over any other primer!
