Menturm the Sun Watery Essence Perfect UV SPF50+
I had high hopes for this, and it didn’t disappoint! I love it.
☀️Filters: Chemical (Octinoxate, Uvinul T 150, Uvinul A Plus)
💧Texture: This comes out as a yellowish gel-type sunscreen. I would say it is slightly thicker than their gel-type sunscreen, but it is still very lightweight.
🖐🏻Application: Due to the alcohol content in this, it glides very easily over my skin and sinks in very quickly. I spend only about a minute to rub 2-3 finger lengths of this sunscreen into my skin.
💨Performance: It holds up well throughout the day and doesn’t pill, though I think it is not waterproof. I only use this indoors, so i cant speak for its UV blocking abilities out in the sun and while doing sports.
🌸Fragrance: It does not have added fragrance. However, it has a very strong alcohol smell initially that dissipates quickly.
💲Price: Super affordable! I got this for only S$9.80 for 80ml.
1. High alcohol content, might irritate dry or sensitive skin types. Alcohol fragrance can also be overbearing for some.
2. Not sure about its SPF claims, since it only uses 3 filters. But I only use this indoors so it doesn’t really matter to me.
3. Stings the eyes, especially after reapplication.
