Vitamin C Skin Boost
It’s a nice enough product, probably more suited to those with younger skin or who are wanting an easy, gentle intro to using ascorbic acid. The texture is like a silicone based primer; as a result this sits beautifully under my makeup. At first glance it appears almost translucent with a slightly orange tint. However, on closer inspection in the light you will notice a light pink reflect that slightly shimmers. I assume this is to enhance the appearance of the skin, though for those of you who don’t like a shiny look have no fear, this product leaves only a slight glow on my dry skin. It has a light citrus scent, nothing overpowering. I didn’t experience any tingling etc from the ingredients, it’s easy to apply & leaves the skin feeling incredibly smooth.
It doesnt state how much ascorbic acid is in the product, but I’m assuming not enough to make a visible difference to those like me with deeper hyperpigmentation. As a result you’ll need to look elsewhere if you require something with a higher amount of active. It also contains alcohol & fragrance, fine on my slightly dry, resilient skin, but could be an issue for those of you who are sensitive or have significant dryness.
