It's a brightening serum with 5% Niacinamide, 4% Glycolic Acid, Arginine, and Aloe Vera as the key ingredients. Looking at the ingredients, I just know that this serum will be good. I've been using this serum for more than a month and have been seeing good results! Let's talk about the texture. It actually doesn't feel like a serum at all, with a more liquidy consistency that sinks into the skin very quickly. So it feels very light and not sticky at all. If you're looking for a serum that doesn't feel sticky or heavy, you have found a keeper! This is my first time trying a 5% Niacinamide serum, which I believe is the ideal percentage. We all know that Niacinamide works well to brighten the skin, however on my skin, Niacinamide usually doesn't create a major difference in terms of overall brightness of my skin. But, this serum does brighten up my PIH which is the most important thing about it. I believe it's the concoction of the Niacinamide and Glycolic Acid that fasten my skin turnover. But since it has Niacinamide and Aloe Vera, it gives a bit of hydration to the skin. I could easily skip toner and go in with this and moisturize. It also has Arginine, which is an alpha-amino acid that works to fight free radicals. Hence why I use this mostly on my AM routine. I do think it's the perfect morning routine serum since it's light and fast absorbing, you can skip toner since it also adds hydration, doesn't feel sticky, and it has all these amazing attributes to brighten and protect your skin during the day time. If you don't want to fuss with your morning routine as I do, you would totally enjoy this product! One thing I need to note is that, don't use this in conjunction with other exfoliating ingredients because then your skin'd be prone to over-exfoliation and damage your skin barrier. I have done that before. You want to use your other exfoliating products when you're not using this serum. However, it's safe to use this daily since it's gentle enough and I can confirm that. After I repaired my damaged skin barrier, I wanted to introduce actives back into my routine and this is the one that didn't irritate my post-recovered skin. Props to the gentle formula!
