The consistency is thin and lightweight so applies and absorbs in the skin easily. It also does not give me dry patches at all (i have relatively normal skin and I definitely need to follow up with moisturizer). I haven't experienced any major breakouts since I started using this, granted, I have been keeping my skincare routine relatively simple. Nonetheless, this product is a HG product. I use this one at night, 2-3x a week. I used the Ordinary niacinamide + zinc 5x a week in the morning only. I really love the affordability of this as well.
