I use this with cotton pad for a more exfoliating effect. I sometimes use this without the pads and I usually layer it twice for hydrating my skin. It did not give me any irritation as I only use this at night. Also, it doesn't make my skin oily afterwards. I noticed after 3 weeks that it slightly smoothened the skin on my cheeks. Moreover, I developed less pimple than usual. Surprisingly, the bottle has a vanilla-like scent even though the product itself is unscented.
