Fermentation Essence
This is an essence containing fermented ingredients and claims to have anti-wrinkle properties. I really like the texture and application of it, and I found that regular use gives me a healthy glow.
🔎Key ingredients: Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Ceramide NP, Peptides
💧Texture: This comes out as a translucent, slightly milky liquid. It has a slight viscous texture but still runny, typical of an essence-type product.
✋🏻Application: I pump 3 pumps and use this on my face & neck after my toner step in my PM routine. It absorbs rather quickly and leaves my skin feeling very hydrated! No tackiness whatsoever.
💨Performance: As mentioned, constant use (about 1 month) has given me a very healthy and natural glow to my skin which I really like! Can’t say much about its anti-wrinkle claims as I don’t have deep wrinkles.
💲Price: S$17/100ml, which is on the more affordable side for a fermented product. Very affordable dupe for products with similar ingredients, such as SK-II, Estee Lauder ANR, and Lancome Genefique.
🌸Fragrance: No added fragrance, no discernible scent.
Overall, a great essence for someone looking to dip their toes into the world of fermented ingredients
1 Only downside I can think of is the 6-month PAO which is typical of Benton products. They claim to be a “clean” beauty brand (🚩🚩but I can close an eye to it) and I suspect this means they avoid using synthetic preservatives in their formula that would allow for a longer shelf life.
