Lipikar Syndet AP+ Wash Cream
This boasts glycerin and Niacinamide. As a quick reminder:
Glycerin:naturally present in skin, glycerin attracts water to skin’s upper layer, working as a humectant.
Niacinamide: evens skin tone and improves lines and wrinkles, this helps the skin to repair sun damage, calm inflammation and keep maintain moisture
Of course, the water in this product contains the company’s patented Aqua Posae, a wonderful prebiotic.
But, these great ingredients are in touch with your skin only while the cleanser is on your skin.
LaRoche Posay contends this is safe enough for newborns.
More surfactants than I’d hoped for:
Sodium Laureth Sulfate
PEG 200 Hydrogenated Glyceryl Palmate
Coco-Betaine
PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate
Cocamide Mea
Glycol Distearate
While this is a gentle foaming cleaner, it did strip my skin of its natural oils to a degree and my skin felt tight and in need of moisturizer. I used it for a few days, just to be certain that my skin wasn’t abnormally dry.
I’ll continue to use this product if I don’t have a non-foaming (or less foaming) cleanser handy, but it’s better suited for me to use as a body wash. That said, if you are somebody who likes to get rid of some of your natural oils, this will do the trick without it being overly drying.
Overall, I would give this a 3/5 as a face cleanser and 4/5 as a body wash. As a face cleanser, it’s ok. But, this definitely has not made my “yay” list.
