Raiffles - Miss_LunaYee review for Deep Cleansing Milk

Hello peeps!!!! Just sometime ago, I received a very awesome gift box from Raiffles, a local skincare brand which I believe it's quite relatively new as I've never heard of this brand. And how I learnt of this brand was when I came across my friend's shared post on Instagram. As the years passed, Malaysia's local skincare industry has improved and I've been seeing many new brands popping up that are just on par with foreign skincare brands. One example of a well known local brand is Ruruberry which produces high quality and cruelty free serums and cleansers and they're just as good as Korean serums, not to mention that they're affordable too. Now that we know about the improvements of Malaysia's skincare industry, let's know more about the brand: Raiffles whose product will be the subject of today's review. Raiffles is a local skincare company which emphasizes strongly on providing the best and effective skincare products to consumers without making them pay high for something that doesn't work well for their skin. Their motto is: Discover The Perfection. They also have their skincare products such as guashas and state of the art facial beauty devices. I checked their website out and found that there weren't too many products on sale, I guess it's because they're a new brand. Anyway, today's review will feature Raiffles Deep Cleansing Milk. A popular product which is loved by skincare reviewers(Me included)and it's also being sold on their website as well. It has been proven to solve acne, dry skin and dull skin tone; It also helps to maintain the skin’s natural barrier, supporting its ability to retain moisture and it has an anti-inflammatory effect when used topically. This makes it beneficial for dry skin and for certain conditions such as eczema. Furthermore, this deep cleansing milk can thoroughly exfoliate the skin and its light and milky formula helps to dissolve makeup easily. A greasy finish is expected as do all milk cleansers since it's meant to be washed off afterwards. 🥛Packaging: The liquid is housed in a 30ml cylindrical, white coloured plastic bottle that has a pump dispenser and a transparent cap for hygeine purposes. The packaging design is quite simple and basic, not elegant and luxe which I do understand as their brand concept focuses on simplicity. Simple typography is found across the bottle and on the front, one can see the product's benefits and its key ingredient listed under the product's name. Ingredients and instructions are found on the back. This bottle is also lightweight and perfect for carrying it around. The secondary packaging features a soft matte, dark green coloured unit carton with embossed reflective geometrical lines in the box, a silver band encircling the box with embossed white coloured words above it in bold and simple typography around the box. Instructions and ingredient are found at the back. 🥛Scent: It has the scent of sunflower seed oil with a fragrant scent it. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm not sure if it's the scent of sunflower seed oil or not. 🥛Who is Raiffles Deep Cleansing Milk for? All skin types. 🥛How to use Raiffles Deep Cleansing Milk? Apply on dry face and neck with fingertips and massage in a circular motion, dilute with some water to fully remove makeup/dirt. Next, rinse thoroughly off using water or remove it using a cotton pad. (¯`·._.·Personal Experiences·._.·´¯) As a cleanser, it does a fairly good job of cleaning my skin thoroughly. The exfoliation is wonderful too as I've seen how it helps to quickly remove the makeup I wore on my face. I don't always wear lots of makeup, just foundation and loose powder, no eyemake. With just one pump, believe it or not, it's just enough to cleanse my entire face! However, as it's only 30ml, I fear that I would finish this too quickly! Maybe in just a month! After I've applied and massaged it around my face, I rinsed it off with water and I could see my clear complexion in the mirror. This is so awesome! Most of the time, I always used Eau Thermal Avène Milk Cleanser for removing my makeup and it's a good cleanser but to try out Raiffles Deep Cleansing Milk was a game changer for me as I didn't expect local skincare products to be also this good. Now, I have more faith than ever in local skincare products🙂 Looking at its description which stated anti inflammatory effect, well, I tried it on an affected area near my mouth corner and after 5 days later, the redness had resolved. I think this is due to the Aloe Barbadendis Leaf in this Deep Cleansing Milk. Also the sunflower seed oil is the product's core ingredient and sunflower seed oil provides numerous benefits for the skin such as soothing and healing, hydrating and reducing signs of aging, just to name a few. In my opinion, this is the first time ever in my life to come across a cleansing milk product that actually uses sunflower seed oil. The packaging isn't so fancy, it doesn't give me that lux feeling but I do love its minimalist approach to all its products as they have a modern aesthetic to it. All in all, the Raiffles Deep Cleansing Milk changed my perception of local skincare products especially cleansing milks. I had not expected a local product to be on par with an overseas one. The Deep Cleansing Milk performance was very good as it helped to remove my makeup well and cleansed my skin very thoroughly. Furthermore, as the Deep Cleansing Milk contains Sunflower Seed Oil, Aloe Barbadendis Leaf and many other good ingredients, it helps to improve the skin's quality and appearance all by just applying this Deep Cleansing Milk onto the face. Other milk cleansers which I've used didn't have these features so the Raiffles Deep Cleansing Milk takes me on a whole new level of cleansing and makeup removing. My skin's inflammation is getting better, thanks to this Raiffles Deep Cleansing Milk and my overall skin quality does look better than before. Furthermore, my skin didn't had any allergic reactions towards it since Day 1. I would also definitely purchase this Deep Cleansing Milk again and recommend it to my loved ones to try it.
