Cica Calming Cleansing Gel
I'm a cleanser hoarder! Apart from being a toner and serum plus sheet masks hoarder, I collect many cleansers mostly because I'm so greedy and curious, I just have to try everything đ
Speaking of cleansers, I recently received a very beautiful looking cleanser. I think it's transparent greenish tube got me fixated!
Anyhow, this cleanser is a gel cleanser but not just any ordinary cleanser! It has the star ingredient, Cica, which I once was very intrigued by how it calmed down my acne which made my skin felt pain and burnt. My first skincare product to contain Cica was the VT Cosmetics Purifying Mud Mask and I was really impressed that this mask helped to calm down my acne burning sensation when everything seemed to have failed me.
And that's when I learnt that it contained Cica which helps to address skin problems like acne or a very sensitive skin which gets irritated so easily.
And before I get into my review, I want to write about the differences between a gel and foam cleanser as I used to be confused between the two.
So basically, gel cleansers are usually water-based and contain mild ingredients, which makes them perfect for sensitive skin types. You wonât have to worry about irritation because the ingredients arenât harsh to the skin. Also, they wonât strip your skin of its natural oils, resulting in smoother and healthier-looking skin. Amazing! Definitely what we all need!
One of the upside of using a gel cleanser is that it deeply cleanses your skin and clears your pores of dirt and oil but the downside is that it can be a little too mild, depending on the ingredients. Sometimes, after cleansing, you will still feel like your skin is not properly cleansed and that's what I don't really like about using gel cleansers-The feeling of not being cleansed enough.
While foam cleansers tend to foam up when mixed up with water. The foamy texture feels like youâre applying a nice cloud onto your face, and your skin always feels spotless after rinsing. That's my favourite feeling! The feeling of thorough cleanliness!
Ok guys, let's get into my review now!!
âď¸About TTĂT Cica Calming Gel Cleanser 150ml:
This gel cleanser is a mild subacid cleanser which moisturises without leaving any skin tightness. It contains 5 types of cica + 2 types of tea tree extract. This mild cleansing gel is very ideal for those with sensitive and acne skin types.
âď¸Key Ingredients:
Centella Asiatica Extract (5000 ppb)đHelps improve skin moisture content, soothes redness, acne related irritation, and improves damaged skin. It also has wound healing properties and it's rich in antioxidants and amino acids
Tea Tree Leaf ExtractđFor sebum control and trouble care.
Asiatic Acid(25 ppb)đHelps to slow down process aging of skin and speed up the healing of acne.
Madecassic Acid(25 ppb)đ Helps to soothe inflammed skin.
Madecassoside(25 ppb)An active ingredient used for its anti-redness & anti-scaling effect.
âď¸Texture:
It has a slippery gel-like texture that feels instantly soothing when applied on the face.
Initially, I thought the gel texture would be green in colour like the Cica leaf itself but I was actually fooled by its green tube packaging đ It was transparent.
Once the gel texture gets water, it foams up pretty good but not so foamy like your normal cleansers.
âď¸Packaging:
The gel cleanser is housed in a dark green coloured tube with the TTĂT logo on the bottom. It has simple typography around its body and the main features plus the brand's motto can be found on one side of the tube.
However, I have an issue with its flip-typed cap that is, the liquid tends to spill out even when the cap is closed so in order to avoid that, I have to turn it upside down.
Moving on to its secondary packaging, the TTĂT Cica Calming Gel Cleanser comes in a simple, cardboard unit carton. It uses the green and white scheme as well as simple typography and the product's name in bold printed in soy ink plus the brand's name on the top of the box. The main features of the the product are also highlighted on the front with additional info at the back and sides(Information are in Korean and English).
Lastly, the box is printed with 100% recyclable paper. Both packagings were really of high quality and I absolutely love it!
âď¸Scent:
It has a strong minty scent.
âď¸Who is TTĂT Cica Calming Gel Cleanser for?
Sensitive and acne probed skin types.
(¯`¡._.¡Personal Experiences¡._.¡´¯)
After using this lovely cica calming gel cleanser daily, I could see the progress it has made on my skin and nope, I'm not talking about how clean my skin felt but how it helped to reduce the redness of my skin due to some pimples having fun on my chin and there's no new pimples forming which I think this gel cleanser played a major role in.
This cleanser is literally a game changer and also my first Cica cleanser as well. I've used Cica serums and mud masks but not a cleanser. So I'm really am grateful for being able to try this gel cleanser. The ingredients are also very impressive considering how many ingredients in this cleanser were targeted at reducing skin inflammation. Gosh, I don't think I've ever seen a cleanser that has that much anti inflammatory ingredients like this one!
The packaging is also so captivating and it makes a great gift for skincare lovers! Lastly, I want to add that my breakouts and skin redness are still under control thanks to the continuous and regular usage of this TTĂT Cica Calming Gel Cleanser!
This cleanser deserves a rating of 5/5 âââââ stars!
Nothing bad at all!!
