Rapid Relief Acne Spot Treatment
- Murad’s rapid relief treatment does exactly as it says. It’s a maximum strength acne treatment that will reduce blemish size in record time. Usually my acne will disappear within a day using this. It can also reduce redness and blemish size in case you have plans to attend to later in the day.
✨ Key Ingredients ✨
- This product contains 2% salicylic acid to help clear and treat breakouts quickly and efficiently. Salicylic acid also exfoliates to clear pores and smooth the skin by shedding dead skin cells from the top layer of your skin. To decrease the number of pimples that form, it also treats inflammation (redness and swelling). The formula of the product also makes it clear so it blends discreetly into the skin (Before and After shots show how it just disappears into the skin) while also soothing the acne.
- Pine and thyme extracts are one of Murad’s patented complexes. These extracts fights irritants while preserving the skin’s healthy balance.
- Horse chestnut and oat extracts soothe the skin and helps to reduce redness.
✨Pros and Cons✨
- This product is good for many skin types! It’s good for balanced, oily, combination, and dry skin.
- It treats acne super quickly, it’s like magic. Of course, no product can immediately get rid of acne, but this product treats it in very little time compared to all of my other acne spot treatment products without drying out the blemish and causing further problems down the line.
- You only need to apply one dot on a patch of acne (about the size of a pea) for it to work, and spread it evenly over the acne. When I apply at night, I’ll top it off with a hydrating sleeping mask. In the morning, the acne is either completely gone or is a small bump, and has no redness. It works so well! I won’t apply a second time if there’s no redness, and will just let one of my blemish serums with niacinamide treat the rest.
- It works super well with my other products. I pair this with my k-beauty products, as well as Murad’s InvisiScar treatment.
- The only con I can think of is the price. The bottle is only 0.5 fl oz, but the price is $25. Even with their subscribe and save option, the price only goes down to $22.50. This is my second most expensive skincare product, first also being a Murad product (the Invisiscar treatment).
