Ceramide-Shot Barrier Sun Care SPF 50+ PA++++

product review positives
[UV Filters] •titanium dioxide - physical sunscreen, but mineral SPF mostly absorbs UV rays just as chemical sunscreens do ✅no alcohol ✅no silicone ✅no perfume fragrance [Key Ingredients] •ceramide 3 - moisture barrier support and hydration •rosemary leaf oil - antioxidant •forsythia extract - antioxidant •sunflower seed oil - moisture barrier support emollient [Price] I purchased this from BloomingKoco during a sunscreen sale for $7.50 USD. I'm seeing a lot of Ample:N products greatly discounted on many websites for wonderful deals. (I really love the Hyaluron Shot Emulsion for my body. So, soo moisturizing.) [Packaging] This is such a slim, fancy looking bottle to me. The tip has a screw-off lid that I really like the aesthetic of. I think this size and shape would be great in a smaller bag, or even in a cargo pocket (most pants made for women always have such dinky pockets :/). [Consistency] This dispenses thick looking, but it's actually very thin, cooling, gel-like, and spreads very easily. In my video, I actually dispensed too much. [Finish] This, in my opinion, leaves a slight white cast, or "tone up." It's more obvious on my face than it is on my hand. This sunscreen is purely made up of titanium dioxide, so I'm not surprised. (I am a light-medium olive skin tone. Usually a 5/25 in Korean foundations, maaaaybe get away with a 23/24 during the Winter.) [Eyes] I did not experience any stinging, but I try to be careful with application around my eyes. [Scent] This has a very pungent chemical scent. I do not like it. While it does fade, it lingers for a bit. I can even smell it when applying on my hands, arms, or legs. It's what I think is a strong smelling sunblock. [Conclusion] I like the feel, I like the price, I dislike the scent, and I dislike the pilling. I personally don't mind a white cast because I use makeup, but I know it's a dealbreaker for most people. I think this would be a good travel sunscreen to use on my body, especially for its size and price, but it's definitely not for my face.
product review negatives
❌Essential Oils: lavender, grapefruit, rosewood Sensitive skin, you know what to do if these are known to irritate your skin. ❌Pilling Ugh, it pills. And not dry little balls, it pills pretty goopy and wet after my other skincare products. I don't know what it is that is proving incompatible with this Ample:N formula and I don't really care. There are plenty of other sunscreens that don't cause this problem. ❌White Cast Maybe you like a tone-up effect and this isn't an issue to consider for you. But if you have deeper skin and this is a dealbreaker, don't bother with this one.
