Not gonna lie, I have never had acne in my life. Just the occasional pimples just before my period & that, also teeny tiny headless ones which will be gone with a pimple patch overnight. My naturally dry skin never really secreted accessive sebum to clog my pores. So no dark spots from acne/pimple scarring or textured skin. I do however have a bit of hyper pigmentation on my cheeks from sun damage & aging. I used this under my eyes as well to see if it can fade the dark circles . The result for under eye is encouraging as the skin is around that area is brightened. The sun damage however is hard to assess in this short period of testing. This serum works more significantly better as post acne scar serum. To brighten & slowdown the melanin forming at the scarred areas. I do feel that my face is well hydrated & the under eye is brightened. Is my skin smoother? Yes, supple, soft and very smooth. Is the skin tone more even? Marginally so, in a short test period. I feel that prolonged usage, I can probably see more visible result. I recommend this serum for those who have healed post acne/pimple scarring and textured skin. You will see clearer result than just using an Acne Serum. I will continue to use this serum to see if it will further reduce the sun spots on my cheeks.
