Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser
The Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser is basically the “Lite” version of a cleansing oil. You are supposed to massage it onto damp skin, effectively loosening makeup and other impurities. It does have a little bit of glide (similar to what you would get from a hydrating toner, emulsion, or… serum), but doesn’t feel oily. Compared to the usual cleansing oil, I don’t get much of that slipping, gliding sensation. That’s why I end up using just a little bit more. The telltale emulsification of makeup also happens on a lighter level, with the Serum Cleanser only producing a slight milkiness when melting away makeup as opposed to the very white, milky liquid that cleansing oils often turn into.
I am impressed by how something so light can just as thoroughly get rid of non-waterproof makeup. I’ve been using this as a first-step cleanser in my usual double-cleansing routine, but I have also used this as a single-step cleanser when I don’t have any makeup on. The scent I’m getting is a combination of coconut oil and green tea cologne that isn’t too strong and doesn’t linger. Post-wash, skin feels sufficiently cleansed and refreshed.
The dispensing of the product is messy. I wish this formula was put in. A pump bottle instead.
Sometimes I also notice that double cleansing with this can cause some tightness, so this should be used sparingly or the second step cleanser should be a gentle cleansing milk to offset the dryness.
