Nothing... except maybe the flip cap making it convenient
❗️Not hydrating, oily-tacky finish
❗️Stings the skin if it's sensitive at the moment
❗️Seems loaded with botanical ingredients and nothing else significany besides the licorice
❗️"cleansing toner" requires content pad, which is the traditional concept of toners being second cleansers, instead of hydrating/prepping
❗️can leave the skin feeling raw with the use of toner pads

Sorry you had bad experience with it. Mine was very different. I have oily skin to start but Tret usage have given me some dry patches here and there. After using the toner, those dry patches looked pretty hydrated. I also noticed my skin looks less oily but moist when I use this. I donot use the cotton pads though. I put it on my palm and pat it on my skin directly.
