Optimal Skin ProMoisturiser
This moisturizer, at $108 for 55ml, makes some promises - from the brand —->
* Provides long-lasting, responsive hydration
* Targets fine dehydration lines
* Skin appears revitalised and visibly radiant
* Skin feels stronger, softer and smoother
The ESPA Optimal Skin Pro-Moisturizer, has an almost pudding like texture, with a pale peach color. It smells phenomenal due to the Damask Rose, Sweet Orange, Neroli, Mandarin, Bergamot, and Jasmine EO’s.
It feels really nice and absorbs well, it doesn’t leave an oily feeling on my skin, so I was thrilled at first. BUT, here is the tea…
It pills, I tried wearing it at night, it’s all good till I apply a face oil, or sleep mask, and then everything pills… apply sunscreen over it during the day? Pilling. Use a richer serum under it? Pills. Ughhhh
So this has been relegated to body cream, since I can not throw away $100+ of anything, and I won’t give it away and put someone else through the ordeal
I tried. I really did, and in some situations it didn’t pill, but it’s winter, I’m using heavier serums and oils, and sunscreens and I just can’t with this game of will my face peel off 😂
So this is a Nope for me, and lots of disappointment in this jar because I really wanted to love it.
Not sure what’s causing it, but it has yeast peptides, South African Resurrection Plant, Navarra Asparagus Extract
I’m not even trying to figure it out, one more adventure in the world of cost does not = quality.
