The Pastels Shop - nrzlkha review for "SA" 2% Salicylic Acid Serum

First and foremost, this is my honest review of The Pastels Shop SA product. It contains 2% salicylic acid and tea tree oil as the active ingredients. Maybe I should buy it with its box next time so that I can see its full ingredient arrangements. I started incorporating this serum on January 13th, 2024, including it in my nighttime routine 2-3 times a week after hydrating serum and before moisturizer. I experienced purging while using this product, which almost lasted a month. During those days, I experienced a lot of acne flaring up on my skin, possibly due to stress since it was almost the last week of my semester. It looked unstable when I had a lot of acne, whether from purging or hormones. After some time, my skin became soothed from using this serum, but it worsened again the next day, repeating this situation in the same month until I finished my final exams. To make it a story, I knew I needed to do something because my skin usually doesn't act like this. The purging took longer than usual, and it wasn't my first time trying 2% salicylic acid either. So, it became a question to myself whether I did something wrong to my skin. It came to my mind that maybe the tea tree oil didn't suit my skin because in the past, my skin reacted badly to tea tree oil, and I was scared that my skin was actually breaking out instead of just purging. But then it seemed impossible since the pimples occurred, not like I was actually breaking out. So, I made up my mind to try a method I had never done before, the sandwich method (cleanser - hydrating serum - moisturizer - wait until fully dry about 5 minutes - TPS SA serum - moisturizer). In fact, I did this method every day, which means I have been using this TPS SA serum every day as my nighttime routine. After seeing a good result from the first day of using the sandwich method, I decided to use and incorporate this TPS SA serum every day as my nighttime routine. And until now, my skin has become so much better (my skin's picture attached below). I don't know if throughout the past month my skin was just overreacting or because of hormones, since I was quite mentally unstable those days. Not to forget to mention, this product can effectively treat my tiny bumps too. Anyway, always listen to your skin <3. I highly recommend this product for oily skin too, and yeah, please buy it; the price is so affordable!
