[Discontinued] Snail & Azulene Low PH Cleanser
🐌 💜 This is a low pH gel cleanser that claims to effectively cleanse without stripping or drying out your skin, with azulene and snail mucin as key ingredients.
🐌💜 This is a low lather gel cleanser with a slightly gingery scent. I’ve been using this in my evening routine as a second cleanser for about a month now.
🐌💜 It washes off easily and cleanses pretty well, save for waterproof and long staying makeup, but not an issue as I do use a cleansing balm for my night routine. This cleanser doesn’t feel particularly nourishing on my dry skin, though it doesn’t feel tight or dry after I wash.
I tested pH to be around 6.0, which explains why; I do prefer lower pH (5.5 below) for my cleansers as they work better for my dry skin and my moisture barrier. In the colder months this might not work for me at all. Nevertheless, it’s summer now so I think it’s okay. I’ve also been using this with the Snail and Azulene Water Essence, and the duo work wonderfully together.
🐌💜 Aside from the pH, I wish Tiam can improve on the packaging. This is packaged similar to shampoo, in a squeezy bottle with a press top, which makes it hard to gauge or control the amount you’re dispensing. I think a pump bottle would work so much better for this cleanser.
