I have combination skin with oily zones and dry areas. For years, I either used no moisturizers at all, or went for very light ones. Now as I get more and more knowledgeable about skincare in general and my skin in particular, I appreciate a good moisturizer in my routine. We’ve had record low temperatures and snowfall in Nebraska this year, and all of that has taken a toll on my skin. I’ve been using Silcus Derma Healing Silk Creamer as part of my evening skincare routine. I won it in a Picky giveaway. Silcus Derma Healing Silk Creamer is a rich but non-sticky moisturizer. It promises to strengthen the skin barrier, smooth out texture and moisturize (of course). I haven’t been able to find it for sale in the US (or with US delivery), but hopefully soon it will be part of the large shop offerings. How to use: Apply as the last step of skincare (after toners / serums) Pat in for better absorption Can be used in the morning or evening Silcus Derma Healing Silk Creamer is made without fragrance, parabens, silicones and drying alcohol. The Derma Healing Silk Complex is supposed to have an amino acid composition similar to collagen in human skin. A full list of ingredients is available at the end of the review. My impressions This is a lovely moisturizer that will likely work for all skin types. I love the texture - it reminds me of a thick gel with a nice bounce to it. Almost like a rich pudding. Silcus Derma Healing Silk Creamer glides on easily and gets absorbed fairly quickly. There is a bit of residual stickiness, nothing major. I only use this cream at night (it would probably be a bit too rich for me in the morning), so being a bit sticky doesn’t matter. My combination skin is so happy with this. A few modest dabs is enough for the whole face and neck - the jar will last me for months (I’ve already been using it for almost two months). I’m noticing a more nourished, soft skin. No dry patches, no oily congested areas. The stickiness, by the way, is totally gone by morning. Sometimes I put it on my hands as well, because winter and all the hand washing are taking their toll. Overall, Silcus has been a great addition to my evening routine. I don’t use it daily, because I have other moisturizers as well, but I do reach for it regularly. I would love to see what other products this brand offers.
