🔘 Review:
I was initially sold on purely the texture of this serum. The Coxir Black Snail Collagen Serum as a super light, bouncy gel texture. The Serum applies easily and skin feels instantly hydrated while applying it. Also, due to the gel texture skin also looks immediately more plump and fine lines are less noticeable. However, those effects are temporary. The longer you wear it during the day the less plump skin starts to look until the end of the day. After washing my face (after wearing the serum all day) my skin started to eventually look more dry and red than it ever does normally. Much of the positive attributes of the Black Snail Collagen Serum seem to be aesthetics. Nice gel texture feeling, skin looking more plump during application, and an instant feeling of hydration. In the long run, after using this over a couple weeks I found that this didn't do much to actually improve skin dryness and fine lines. Once the product is rinsed off skin never ends up feeling more hydrated, always ends up feeling more dry, specially around my eye area! I suspect this is from a couple of the ingredients in the serum. Sadly, denatured alcohol is the 4th ingredient. This is pretty high up on an ingredient list for something so drying and potentially irritating (especially for dry, sensitive, or compromized skin). The other ingredient they included was fragrance (parfum) which is thankfully the last ingredient. I have a feeling that these are the reasons I can apply this, initially feel silky smooth skin, but then hours later end up feeling dry and looking flaky. I predict many of those with more oily skin probably won't have as much of the issues with skin looking and feeling dry after using. I do love the texture of this and Coxir also included some great beneficial ingredients such as betaine, allantoin, adenosine, peptide, snail mucin, etc. Unfortuanately for Coxir, I've found better snail products without the fragrance. All this being said, I am excited to try more from this brand, and hopefully it will work out better next time. I feel like this one focuses more on the anti-aging function that it claims to provide. The serum makes my skin feel firmer while also leaving an ample amount of moisture. There is also adenosine in here that works with the collagen to keep my skin tight and plumped.
Black Snail Collagen Serum is a lightweight gel serum that is packed with snail mucin to revitalize the skin. Black Snail Collagen Serum also contains adenosine that targets wrinkles and fine lines. Serums ingredients help to firm and smooth the skin, making it more younger-looking. Snail mucin is a star ingredient in korean skincare: it helps to renew the skin. Snail mucin helps to speed up the skins own healing process, resulting in smoother skin. It also helps in lightening scars and hyperpigmentation.
🔘 How to Use:
After cleansing and toning, add serum to face and let it absorb. Continue skincare with emulsion and face cream.
I feel like this one focuses more on the anti-aging function that it claims to provide.
