soojilina review for 01 Pearl Snowflake

Experience 🧁: ok first let's take a moment for the packaging. It goes CRAZY. When I first laid eyes on this product, I knew I'd keep the packaging for novelty reasons. Its just a work of art. It is plastic and it feels like plastic but I don't think it feels cheap. It doesn't look cheap either. The packaging is kind of finicky though, its slightly difficult to close because the top is really thin. Ingredients 🧁: i was surprised to find out that this powder didn't have talc or corn starch in it. Usually powders have those ingredients in it. The first ingredient for this powder is silica! Which makes so much sense. This powder is soo smooth, it feels like a protective layer is put on when applied. Another ingredient lower in the ingredients list is squalane. Squalane is a really nice, skin identical oil thats lightweight. This is why this powder broke me out, squalane is an acne trigger for me :/. Texture 🧁: i almost don't know how to describe the texture. This powder isn't textured like corn starch. If you touch it, it kind of feels like you're touching air, it's soo lightweight. Even when its being applied, its hard to tell that it's on your skin. Finish 🧁: this powder is magic and has convinced me to only ever get pink powder from now on. I have tan skin with hyperpigmentation and genetic dark undereyes and this blurs all of my pigmentation and evens out my skin tone!! Without giving me some sort of white cast or making me look ashy. It also serves its purpose - it mattifies but its not too matte. Like if my face is dewy before I put the powder on, then there would still remain a little natural sheen. But it doesn't look oily or wet, it looks like a primer sheen almost. So I don't think this powder is for someone who wants a super matte look, this powder is best for people who want a natural matte look. Amount 🧁: this is 12g of powder for 35USD. I'm not familiar with makeup pricing but I did compare it to other setting powders I've seen and I can say that I think this is more of a mid range price for this product. I think there are better pink powders you can get for less money. But if you're like me and want this powder for the packaging, then get it. Because this powder is effective and has everything I want in a powder, it just breaks me out. Also - this powder is refillable. You can take the mesh/plastic part out and refill it so even if you don't like the formula or color or anything, you can fill it with another powder.
