Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil
I received this product for free from Picky and ANUA in exchange for my honest review.
I love that this is a lightweight oil, but I still felt that I needed to follow up with a second step when using this cleansing oil. This product did a decent job at breaking down my foundation/concealer. It also features some amazing ingredients like Heartleaf, jojoba seed oil, and Turmeric.
Sadly the bad outweighed the good in my opinion, and I can’t see adding this to my regular routine or restocking it after I run out. These reasons are why I’m only giving this two stars:
1. The scent was not for me. It features added fragrance as an ingredient, and I’m not super into whatever this was meant to smell like.
2. I have dry leaning skin, and I actually had issues with this cleansing oil not leaving my skin hydrated enough. This picture of my dry flaky skin is after using a non-stripping lotion based cleanser as my second step. This wasn’t even from using a cleansing foam (which is more likely to dry me out). Usually cleansing oils prevent the drying out from a second cleanser from happening, but that was not the case with this product.
3. I’m someone who wears a lot of eye makeup, and I need a cleanser that I can apply to my eye area that won’t irritate my eyes during the cleansing process. This cleansing oil irritated my eyes.
