Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil
One of my favorite things about this product is the fact that it didn’t leave as much of a residue as most other cleansing oils that I’ve tried. So you don’t really have to double cleanse with this one unless you really want to. It did a decent okay at removing my foundation and SPF at the end of the day. My notes about the fragrance and makeup removal are in the ‘things I didn’t like’ section.
Key ingredients: jojoba seed oil, Black Currant Seed Oil, and black soybean oil. Black currant seed oil helps with moisture and the healing process, making it a great ingredient to help with acne as well. Black soybean oil is meant to help dry leaning skin. Meaning this is a formula that is meant to help both dry and oily leaning skin. It may seem contradictory, but oils are often good for oily leaning skin as well. I have drier leaning skin, and this cleanser did not feel stripping of moisture at all. Even on the rare occasion that I did decide to double cleanse (I still often do this with cleansing oils, even though this one didn’t leave as much of a residue feeling as some other oils).
My biggest dislike about this product is probably the scent. Fragrance is an added ingredient. I usually prefer when products are free of added fragrances, and just smell like whatever the ingredients are in the formula. But the scent of this just was not my favorite. Plus it didn’t work well at removing the makeup from my eye area which is why I had to give this three out of five stars. For a cleanser to be part of my regular rotation, I need it to be able to cleanse ALL of my face. It sucks when cleaners aren’t eye safe.

This is a product that is new for me. I don't mind having scent in my skincare products.
What did it smell like?
