Lactic Acid 10% + HA
My magic potion, should I say.
I researched before I started using this. I'm new to skin care from the time I bought this and definitely new to active acids. Curious enough to try something new, something that is promising based on the reviews I've read and watched.
Quick Product Description:
The 10% AHA offers mild exfoliation that caters even those who have sensitive skin. It has tasmanian pepperberry known to reduce signs of inflammation and sensitivity that is often associated with exfoliation.
CONTAINS:
✔Lactic Acid
✔Tasmannia Lanceolata Fruit/Leaf Extract
✔Glycerin (Humectant)
ROUTINE:
✔2-3x a week in my PM routine
(advisable to use in the PM since when used in the AM it may increase our skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn)
✔Use after toning
✔I minimally splurge on thick moisturizer when I use this just to reduce its strength and contributes repairing my skin barrier.
CLAIMS That I agree with:
✔Mild exfoliation for smoother skin
- For starters, a lower percentage of 5% is advisable. I got lucky enough that my skin tolerated the 10% concentration.
- SInce it's a leave on exfoliant, the benefit of having smoother skin is guaranteed.
✔Reduces signs of Inflammatory and sensitivity
-The reason why i love skin care products so much is because of this product. I've got superb experience and result with this one. I can vouch the effectivity of its anti-inflammatory properties. It prevents my face on having breakout.
-For its sensitivity, I can say that this help my skin in tolerating new products that is introduced in my routine.
✔Targets dullness/ Reduces Pigmentation and appearance of scarring
- Ohhh stubborn zits and me being impatient for my acnes to heal, I tend to pop it. We all know, popping=pimple mark. Improvement of the appearance of my acne marks usually took a full week or two.
(sad that I didn't document my skin's progress while using this, I didn't thought of having an in-depth review about this)
Pricepoint:
$8, but retails in the PH at 600. Worth it? Definitely!
This comes in a 30ml bottle that lasted me 2.5 - 3 months of usage.
TEXTURE & SCENT
Watery, slightly sticky when dabbed and fully absorbed but not too sticky to the point where its annoying.
It smells just a pinch of sweetness!
(and accidentally tasted it lol, tastes like Vitamins--- sour hahaha! please don't try this and be cautious)
Final Thoughts:
I actually finished this bottle already and upgraded my game... a higher percentage of AHA-- the Peeling Solution.
And I thought after finishing the Peeling Solution, I would choose to repurchase the Lactic Acid as it shows it's beneficial for my skin's needs.
The first night was a shocker! I kinda make a tear as it stings my virgin face.
Aside from that, product's worked well for me.
I'll leave some cautions/contradiction from the brand (Deciem)
Lactic Acid should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to additional sun protection note and other warnings in provided Directions.
