Relief Sun Moisturizer SPF50+ PA++++
Yes I am aware that this sunscreen is included in the SPF controversy, that being said, I bought it before this information came out and will not repurchase anything again before reformulation. I wouldn’t advice using it under high sun exposure since we don't know the actual SPF and PA value.
Scent:
This is an unscented product, I can't smell anything noticeable from it. (I believe the older version contained essential oils but this one doesn't).
Texture:
The texture at first seems like a lightweight lotion when you swatch it on your skin. However when applied on face, it feels a lot more moisturizing and substantial. It sinks into skin without problem. It doesn't exactly feel heavy, but it does feel quite sticky in my experience. The finish is glowy, but also sticky.
Also many times I had this "grainy" feeling in the texture, as if some small sand grains scratched against my skin, which was hurting me a bit. I checked many times that it was caused by this product even though you can't see any visible particles in it. This was pretty weird and never happened to me with any other products. 😅
Experience:
I would usually substitute this as my moisturizer too, since it's enough to keep my skin from drying out. This sunscreen doesn't irritate my skin or dry it further, but I just can't get past the texture. The graininess happened almost every time I applied it on. Also the stickiness is very bad, so I wouldn't actually consider this the most pleasant sunscreen to use.
Good thing is, it's easy to blend in, and as long as you do it properly, it shouldn't pill. It gives a nice dewy finish and doesn't have any whitecast at all.
- the weird texture with grainy, scratchy feel
- pretty sticky
- under the accusation of not having promised SPF
