Clear Face Antibacterial Cleansing Foam
Performance:
It’s easy to apply. Because it is a foam, it is easy to apply. It rinses off easily and doesn’t leave any residue. It doesn’t burn when it touches open spots. Plus, it cleared up my spots perfectly and fast. It is a foam cleanser, but I would still recommend a double cleanse, because this product is to clear acne, not to take makeup off.
Packaging:
I really like the packaging. It is simple and easy to understand. The outside is a carton box. Inside is the product in a plastic bottle with a pump. Plus, a package insert with a few informations.
Ingredients:
Cocamidopropyl Betainamide MEA Chloride is a foaming agent that’s derived from coconut oil, and which is friendly to the environment. It is used as a foaming agent and to form part of the foaming base and has thickening properties as well as being an anti-irritant (protects skin/scalp from irritation and dryness) and anti-microbial agent. It is known to be much milder than any of the well-known harsh foaming agents such as SLS. (Source: GreenPeople)
Hydroxypropyl Oxidized Starch PG-Trimonium Chloride is a humectant.
Panthenol is a moisturizer and humectant. Used as softening, soothing and anti-irritant agent. It also helps your skin build up a barrier against irritation and water loss.
Sodium Hydroxide helps balance the ph-level of the skin. If you have sensitive skin you might want to avoid it, because it can be irritating. In high concentrations it can be highly damaging to your skin, but in the amount that it used in skincare it is save. Its FDA approven.
Parfum is used to scant products. It can be irritating to the skin.
Phenoxyethanol “In perfumes, fragrances, soaps, and cleansers, phenoxyethanol works as a stabilizer. In other cosmetics, it’s used as an antibacterial and/or a preservative to prevent products from losing their potency or spoiling.
When combined with another chemical, some evidence indicates that it’s effective at reducing acne.” “Deciding whether or not you want to use products with this chemical is a complicated decision. There’s conflicting data about its safety. Most of the concern stems from recorded incidents of bad skin reactions and nervous system interaction in infants.” “In 2007, the panel reviewed newly available data, then confirmed their former decision that it’s safe for adults to use topically in very low concentrations.
The European Commission on Health and Food Safety also gives this chemical a “safe” rating when used in cosmetics at a 1-percent or less concentration. However, this report notes that using several products all containing a low dose could result in overexposure.
Japan also restricts use in cosmetics to a 1-percent concentration.” (Source: In 2007, the panel reviewed newly available data, then confirmed their former decision that it’s safe for adults to use topically in very low concentrations.

Sodium benzoate is used in a wide variety of cosmetics and personal care products where it acts as a corrosion inhibitor, fragrance ingredient, and preservative.
As a preservative, sodium benzoate is primarily an anti-fungal agent but also has some effectiveness against bacteria.
