Brightening Peeling Gel
The Dr.G Brightening Peeling Gel has quickly earned a place in my skincare routine because of how gentle yet effective it is. I’ve always been cautious with exfoliators since my sensitive skin tends to react to harsh formulas, but this peeling gel is different. The Aqua Ceramide in the formula ensures that my skin stays hydrated and balanced while it gently removes dead skin cells. The texture is lightweight and smooth, and the process is easy and satisfying—you can actually see it lifting away dullness as you massage it onto your skin.
What I love most about this product is the immediate result it gives. After using it, my skin feels noticeably softer and looks brighter, with a natural glow that doesn’t feel forced. It’s pH-balanced too, so it never leaves my skin feeling tight or dry, which is a huge relief, especially after traveling when my skin can get stressed from environmental changes. It also preps my skin for the rest of my routine—serums and moisturizers seem to absorb better and work more effectively after I use this gel.
The set comes with a sample of the Barrier D Daily Lotion, which I’ve also really enjoyed. It’s lightweight and calming, adding a layer of hydration that feels perfect post-exfoliation. Together, these two products make a great pair for keeping my skin smooth, bright, and healthy.
If you’re looking for a gentle exfoliator that doesn’t sacrifice hydration or comfort, I can’t recommend the Dr.G Brightening Peeling Gel enough. It’s effective, easy to use, and leaves your skin feeling refreshed and glowing every time.
While I really enjoyed using the Dr.G Brightening Peeling Gel, there are a couple of things worth mentioning that might not work for everyone.
First, although the gommage peeling effect is satisfying and effective, it might be a bit underwhelming for those looking for a deeper exfoliation. If you’re used to stronger chemical exfoliants or scrubs, this product’s gentle nature might feel too mild for your needs.
Second, while the peeling gel works well on damp skin, it can sometimes feel tricky to get the right balance of moisture on your face before applying it. If your skin is too wet or too dry, the gel doesn’t perform as well, so there’s a bit of a learning curve.
Lastly, the product is best used 2-3 times a week, so it’s not something you can rely on daily. For me, this isn’t a dealbreaker, but for anyone looking for an everyday exfoliator, this might not be the right fit.
Overall, these are pretty minor issues, and the benefits of the Dr.G Brightening Peeling Gel outweigh the downsides for me. However, it’s good to keep these points in mind when considering if this product is right for you.
