I am always so impressed by the texture of Tiam's products and their Pore Minimizing 21 Serum is no different. Similarly to the Cream in the same line, Niacinamide, Zinc PCA and Willow Bark extract are the star ingredients. The main difference between the serum and the cream, is that the serum contains a whooping 20% of Niacinamide. There are just a handful of products on the market with such a high % of Niacinamide, the main reason being that studies have shown that Niacinamide between 5-10% will definitely have +ve benefits on the skin. Most people do not need more than this. ----- So then why should you try 20%? If you have been using niacinamide and feel that you are still struggling with oil control, enlarged pores due to excess sebum production and bumpy texture, after considering the rest of your routine, you may definitely want to consider this. My skin responds well to Niacinamide 10% serums, but within a month of adding this, I definitely saw an improvement with my pore control. The serum is very light-weight and can work in either your morning or night time routine. I actually enjoy pairing this with my retinol or salicylic acid at night, while using the cream during the day. BTW, Niacinamide works well with Retinoids, Vit C, Arbutin, Tranexamic Acid and Salicylic Acid, in case you are wondering about other parts of your skincare routine. I recommend starting with 2-3 times per week. I had zero irritation using this every other day. Just like the cream, there is no added fragrance. The white crystal sedimentation you see on the bottle neck of the bottle is also normal due to interaction with the air. Do you think this will be helpful to your skincare routine?
