Due to the ongoing pandemic, I’m sure that a lot of you are already familiar with the health benefits of taking oral Vitamin C, but did you know that Vitamin C is also beneficial for your skin. Quick facts about topical Vit C : - it helps stimulate Collagen production (it can help with fine lines, keep you skin looking young and firm) - it’s a powerful antioxidant! so it can actually help cells against damage from UV exposure *side-note: although it can help against UV damage, nothing compares with sunscreem/sunblock so use them together, okay? - melatonin production is inhibited by Vit C, meaning it is perfect for those who are suffering from hyerpigmentation, pimple mark and brown spots. - it can promote healthy cell turnover and regenaration. - OXIDATION is its biggest enemy. Exposure to air, light and heat can cause your Vit C to breakdown, so make sure that you keep tabs on where you store it, and how long you’ve been using it. @deciem Vitamin C 23% + HA spheres 2% suspension How I use it: - I apply this every Morning on my face, neck and hands. What I love about it: - A little goes a along way, you only need about 2 pea-sized drops to cover your whole face and neck. - The packaging is efficient. It comes in a gray tube, so there’s no chance that it will be exposed to light. *side-note: I still store this with its original box for added protection (smiley) - The consistency is perfect for me. It’s not too runny, or too dry. You can spread it easily. - You don’t need to spend a lot to get a quality product. I guess this goes for all @deciem products coz almost all of their products are affordable. - The formulation is spot on. Vitamin C is a known irritant and can cause dryness. This is where Hyaluronic Aicd comes in, HA makes sure that your skin is moisturized and hydrated, so that you’d experience less irritation and dryness from Vit C use. Final thoughts: Although I’ve only been using this for about 20 days now, I can definitely say that a couple of pimple scars on my cheeks have lightened, and I did notice an improvement on my forehead lines. Would I buy this again? Yes. I have no plans of switching for now because this works and fits my budget.
