I think the concept of this product is to gently exfoliate while you sleep, so do it on me. It help smoothen my dry lip in the morning after night use of this. Some residu of my lip dry patches can easily swipe out with hand or cotton pad. It also keep my lip moist for the whole day.
It has thick balm-y texture so I don't prepare to use it in morning routine. I just like to put a little thick amount at night and voila my lip still plumpy even if I don't use any lip balm after that.
