Pipette is an up-and-coming brand featuring products directed toward babies and new moms, but their products are growing in popularity across a wide range of customers, and for good reason! Their focus is on using gentle, quality ingredients that are safe for infants--so it stands to reason that those products would be good for adults, too. You've probably seen their ads on Instagram. They have their own website which often has sales (on top of their products already being quite affordable), and they are also available at Target, so if you're curious to try them out, you have many opportunities! This baby lotion is wonderfully hydrating thanks to the fact that it contains squalane, glycerin, and ceramides to ensure the skin is moisturized and protected. Glycerin and squalane are known for being effective moisturizers, and squalane has the added benefit of supporting the skin barrier. A damaged skin barrier can lead to moisture loss and dryness, so it's definitely something you want to avoid! Ceramides make up some of the most important building blocks of the skin barrier, so this ingredient also helps to ensure healthy skin. This lotion has no discernable fragrance or added dyes. It comes in a big squeeze tube for easy dispensing. I use it as a hand and body lotion, and I've found it sinks beautifully into the skin instead of just sitting on top of it, thanks to the fact that squalane is the second ingredient. Its molecular weight is similar to that of natural sebum, so that helps it actually absorb instead of just remaining a greasy layer that doesn't penetrate the skin, which is a problem with many lotions. A little goes a long way!
